This Father’s Day, our Sunday School children came together for a special craft activity celebrating the wonderful fathers, grandfathers, godfathers, and father figures in their lives.

With faith, fun, and creativity, the children made handmade gifts and cards to show their appreciation and gratitude. Each creation was made with love and care, as a special reminder of the important role fathers and father figures play in nurturing, guiding, and protecting their families.

Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful fathers and father figures! 💙

May God bless all fathers, nourish and protect their families, and may their work be filled with the grace of the Holy Trinity. 🙏✨

All children are welcome to join us, we will be crafting something special for the dads, grandfathers, uncles and godfathers in our lives.

Sunday School starts immediately after Holy Communion.

To all our wonderful Sunday School children, parents and volunteers who helped with our St Phanourios cake baking activity! ❤️

The children did such an amazing job! They added all the ingredients, mixed everything together, and worked so beautifully as a team. The final result turned out absolutely amazing! 🎂👏

We learned about St Phanourios and the many miracles associated with him. It was a beautiful opportunity for the children to learn about the tradition of Phanouropita and the meaning behind it.

Hi All I wanted to remind you all of two special service this coming week.

1. Sunday evening 6.30 pm vespers for St Dionysios and St Kosmas the Aetolian. An important feast day as the Zakinthian community donated an icon stand an icon and one of the saints slippers to the church and so it important to honour the Saint. All Zakynthians are expected on Sunday evening :) the matins and liturgy will follow Monday morning. For our large Epirotic community Sunday evening should also be an important time to pray - St Kosma taught, evangelised in many parts of Greece but particularly in Epiros. We have a large icon of St Kosma the Aetolian next to the Bishops throne. Also one of his disciples St Dimitrios the New Martyr of Samiras (in Epiros) we have a relic of this saint and an icon from mt Athos and these will be brought out for the faithful to venerate.

2. ⁠ Vespers for St Phanourios - Wednesday 6-7 pm. For those that work and want to bring a phanouropita to church we will be reading the prayers for his intercession at the end of vespers.

This week, at our Sunday School… ✨

Christ is Risen!

This coming Sunday, 26th April, is the Feast of the Myrrhbearers. Our church honours the courageous women who followed Jesus and who were the first to see our Risen Lord.

They will also learn the symbolism of the Easter Egg in our Orthodox Tradition and there will be a special egg craft activity!

Join us, immediately after Holy Communion.

We look forward to seeing you!
