Following yesterday's confirmations, we were treated to a splendid lunch in the Parish Centre which was brought to us by the hard work of James and many others.

We are truly blessed to have so many talented and committed helpers at Christ Church whom we never take for granted.

A wonderful morning at Christ Church today when Alisha, Amber and Jack received their Confirmations into the Anglican Church presided over by Bishop Alison in front of a very supportive congregation.
Wishing Alisha Amber and Jack all the best as they continue their faith journeys.

Thanks to everyone who helped with the organisation and/or promotion of Saturday's Anzac Day Service - so many of you, you know who you are.

Thanks also to the "hordes" of you who supported it with your attendance.

The feedback from our regular congregation members, and guests, on the day has been uniformly positive.

A video of the wreath-laying ceremony with Jo Briskey MP, Dr Rose Iser MVCC Mayor, and representatives from PEGS, Ambulance, Fire, and Police Victoria.

Further details of our Anzac Day Service 11:00am this Saturday.
There will be wreaths laid by Federal MP Jo Briskey, MVCC Mayor's representative, Ambulance, Police and Fire services.

Pupils from Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School will read the names from the Honours Board.

Our esteemed musical director, Sam, will be at the organ; so we will have one appropriate and familiar hymn, and a couple of beautifully poignant themes.

We look forward to seeing you there on the day.

As we approach Anzac Day, this week we will be posting some photos marking Christ Church as a war memorial church.

Here we have the plaque from the Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Turret, and the inscription from The Bible in St Michael's Chapel.

Lest we forget.

Some photos from our successful Bunnings sausage sizzle yesterday.

Many thanks to all the volunteers, only a few of whom are in the photos, and also to those from the church who came by to show support.

The exact sum raised from yesterday's sausage sizzle is yet to be calculated, but we are confident that it is in excess of $2k profit. Hopefully Bunnings will give us another slot later in the year.

Good evening.

If you're free on Anzac Day morning and want to attend our service, you'll all be most welcome.

The Federal MP will be in attendance as will representatives from all the major emergency services.

There'll be no eucharist this year with greater concentration on the role of the Anzacs and defence personnel.
