*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:*
“He said, ‘Come.’ So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus.”
(Matthew 14:29 ESV)
*KEY MEDITATION:*
*Stretching Faith*
The disciples were in a storm when Jesus approached walking on water. Peter asked to come to Him. Jesus said one word: “Come.” Peter stepped out of the boat onto the waves. He did not stay where it was safe. His faith was stretched by a simple invitation and a bold step.
Faith grows when it is stretched. It does not grow by staying in the boat. It grows by stepping onto the water at Jesus’ word. Stretching faith means doing what you can not do in your own strength, trusting that He will sustain you.
This looks different in every season. For some, it is taking on responsibility that feels too big. For others, it is trusting God with finances, with a relationship, or with a decision that has no clear outcome. The common thread is movement. You do not grow faith by thinking about it. You grow it by acting on it.
The water will still be unpredictable. Fear will still rise. But Jesus’ word remains. “Come” is both invitation and enablement. He does not call you to sink. He calls you to walk with Him and transform.

A business owner felt God prompting her to launch a new product despite thin cash flow and market uncertainty. It felt risky. But she obeyed, trusting Him for provision and timing. The launch was not perfect, but it opened doors she never expected. She later said the growth did not come from the product itself but from the faith she built by stepping out.
*Leadership Nugget:*
Leaders stretch their teams by stretching their own faith first. If you do not step onto the water, do not expect your team to follow you there.

Father! I hear Your “Come.”
Give me courage to step out of the boat and trust You on the water. Stretch my faith beyond what feels safe.
I move in the realms of new things of the new dawn.
