We're delighted to share that a team from Shofar Durbanville will be traveling to the Mozambique for a gospel outreach in September 2026.

They will be sharing the gospel with the community, supporting the local church with ministry and prayer — focus on kids' and women's ministry and serving them with maintenance work and support at the local clinic.

To support our mission, we invite you to partner with us financially through our raffle and stand a chance to win one of the designated prizes. Raffle tickets are R100 each. Last day to buy tickets will be 5 September.

If you would like to partner with us in prayer, please contact any one of the mission team members.

"God settles the solitary in a home; he leads out the prisoners to prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a parched land. O God, when you went out before your people, when you marched through the wilderness, Selah the earth quaked, the heavens poured down rain, before God, the One of Sinai, before God, the God of Israel. Rain in abundance, O God, you shed abroad; you restored your inheritance as it languished; your flock found a dwelling in it; in your goodness, O God, you provided for the needy." - Psalm 68: 6 - 10

The Gospel Book Cover Series: LUKE
Luke’s focus on reconciliation reminded me of the process of baking bread. A baker combines water, wheat, salt and leavening. He kneads the mixture to activate the gluten. Then he allows the dough to rest, kneads it again until it reaches the right consistency, places it in a warm place to allow the bacteria in the leavening to let the dough rise before he shapes it into a whole loaf and bakes it at a high temperature. This process kills all the bacteria and creates something new and wholesome in the process. Here, the bread can stand as a reminder that Jesus gave His body for us.

Jesus is the light of the world!

Moments from our family worship evening. Worshiping Jesus as a family creates unity, builds a culture of gratitude, and teaches us to put God before ourselves.

“As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” — Joshua 24:15

🌿 New Series Starts This Sunday!

Join us as we begin the third part of our journey through the Gospels this year: the Gospel of Luke, "Welcomed in Jesus."
This week: The Unfortunate Ones (Jesus and the Widow of Nain).

Ross van Niekerk preaches at all three services.
Come expectant as we discover how Jesus draws near to the unnoticed and unfortunate, and see what his compassion means for us today.

📖 "As he drew near to the gate of the town, behold, a man who had died was being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow... And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said to her, 'Do not weep.'"
Luke 7:12-13, ESV

Devotion to Christ means devotion to His body.

The early church didn’t simply believe in Jesus individually. Their devotion to Him transformed the way they lived together.

They showed up. They shared their lives. They prayed, ate, worshipped and grew together. Christ was at the centre of it all.

We are invited into that same kind of devotion: not only to Jesus, but to the people He has called us to walk alongside.

What might it look like for you to lean into His community again? 🤍

A beautiful Sunday celebrating new life in Christ!
We’re so grateful to witness people taking this step of faith and publicly declaring their decision to follow Jesus.

“Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead, we too may live a new life.” — Romans 6:4

What a joy to celebrate what God is doing!

Worship & Prayer Night ✨

THIS Friday, 28 August, we’re creating a space for families to come into God’s presence together. Parents, bring your children. Come worship, pray, and give your attention to Jesus side by side.

Our prayer is that our children would not only hear us talk about following Jesus, but would experience what it looks like to seek Him, worship Him and enjoy His presence together.

Whether you’re coming with little ones, teenagers, as a couple, on your own, or with friends, you are welcome.

📅 Friday, 28 August

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 All generations welcome

This Sunday we continue our mini-series, A Call to Devotion. 🌿

At our AM services, Melissa le Roux will share on Devoted to Growth: what does it look like to keep growing as followers of Jesus?

In the PM service, Dylan de Jongh will share on Devoted to Community, exploring God’s call to a life of meaningful community and devotion to one another.

We’ll also be celebrating baptisms after the services as people take this beautiful step of faith and obedience!
