What a day spent with the inmates at Voorberg Prison.
It's difficult to put into words what today meant. Listening to testimonies, sharing fellowship, and seeing God move in the lives of men behind bars was a powerful reminder that the church is far bigger than four walls.
Today reminded me more than ever that church is not a building we attend, but people who follow Christ wherever He sends them. God's love, grace, and salvation reach every person, regardless of their circumstances.
A special word of appreciation to our Pastor Humphry, who opened this door for us. Today we experienced firsthand the respect, love, and appreciation that the inmates have for him. It was evident that he don't just visiting them, but has built genuine relationships through consistency, compassion, and a heart for people. The impact of his ministry is visible in the lives he has touched, and we are grateful for his example of servant leadership.
Jesus said in Matthew 25:36, "I was in prison and you came to visit me."
As we spent time with these men, I realised once again that ministry happens outside the church building. It happens wherever people need hope, encouragement, and the message of Christ.
I leave today grateful, humbled, and challenged. God is at work in places many of us never see, and His presence is just as real there as anywhere else.
To God be all the glory.
