Passing the Baton – New CEO Announcement
Dear Friends of D&J,
The Board of David & Jonathan is pleased to announce a leadership transition. Following the resignation of Jaco le Grange as CEO, the Board has elected Jaco Carstens as the new Chief Executive Officer.
Jaco, together with his wife Marcelle and son Elan, has been closely connected to D&J since its early days. He brings fresh energy and a tech-savvy perspective to guide the Foundation into the future.
Recognizing the importance of generational renewal, the Jaco will establish a vibrant young committee to steer the organization forward. At the same time, continuity will be ensured as existing Directors -Jack Carstens (Chairman), Ps. Nic Kruyer, and Libby Norton— continue to serve in statutory and advisory roles. This balance of experience and innovation is seen as a healthy step for the life of the Foundation.
Beyond his new role at D&J, Jaco also manages portfolios at Salem Biblical Gardens, creating opportunities for collaboration and mutual benefit between the two entities.
We remain deeply grateful for the faithful service of past Board members, including Chris and Barbara Clayton, Eric and Gill Palmer (of blessed memory), and many others who have contributed over the past 26 years. Their dedication has been instrumental in advancing our mission: helping local congregations form covenant friendships with Messianic congregations in Israel.
We trust Jaco will have a successful term as CEO and that he can count on your continued support.
With gratitude and anticipation,
The Board of David & Jonathan
A word from the new CEO.
On behalf of my family and me, I am humbled and grateful to accept the role of CEO of the David & Jonathan Foundation. We consider it a privilege to serve King Jesus/Yeshua in a tangible and impactful way, and to join you in seeking the peace and flourishing of Jerusalem.
The Scriptures call us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and to stand with God’s chosen people. Our commitment to this work is not about religion or power, but about seeking first the Kingdom of God and participating in His redemptive purposes. We believe God’s promises are “yes and amen,” and that Biblical prophecy points to reconciliation and final redemption beginning with Israel.
Thanks to your faithful partnership over the last 30 years, this foundation has helped establish congregations and meaningful outreaches across Israel. That fruit is a testimony to God’s faithfulness — and a reminder that the mission continues. I am excited to work alongside you and local leaders to deepen our relationships, expand lasting outreach, and steward resources wisely for eternal impact.
I thank every donor, volunteer, and prayer partner who has faithfully invested in this cause. Together, in prayerful dependence and humble obedience, we stand as an end-time army witnessing from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth. I look forward to serving with you and to what God will do through our partnership.
Shabbat Shalom,
Jaco, Marcelle and Elan Carstens
