Sept. 6, 2026. Faith's 7th Anniversary
As Lutheran's, we of course needed to commemorate the occasion with a cake. The moisture here interfered with the icing:(. It still was a beautiful and wonderful treat!!

Sunday, Sept. 6, 2026 Faith's 7th Anniversary.
Pr. Paul read the Gospel from St. Matthew, the 18th chapter.
Jesus said, Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." Faith Lutheran Church started 7 years ago with trust and faith in our Lord that He would lead us where he wanted us. GOD HAS BEEN FAITHFUL!!! He gathered us when we did not know where that might be, He sustained us when we did not know what the future would hold and He has remained true to His promise: "Where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them." Christ is in our midst. So now the story of His faithfulness becomes our calling. We tell what He has done. His faithfulness is our testimony!!!

Sept. 6, 2026. Faith's 7th Anniversart
The choir sang Psalm 32, "Mercy embraces those who trust in the Lord." "Happy are they whose transgressions are forgiven and whose sin is put away!"
They also sang the Offertory, "Then Sings My Soul" by Stuart Hine with the setting by Mary McDonald.
A BIG thank you to the choir for being such "troopers" practicing and singing!!!

Sept. 6, 2026 Faith's 7th Anniversary
Nancy read the 1st reading from Ezekiel. The Lord appointed the prophet Ezekiel to be a spiritual watchman over the people of Israel. BIG JOB!!
She also read the 2nd reading from Romans. There, Paul explained to the Romans that there is no higher authority than God. He also cited the commandments and said they are summed up in this word: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." "Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law." If we could ALL live like that!!!

Sunday, Aug. 30, 2026
Pr. Paul read the Gospel from St. Matthew, the 16th chapter. Jesus explained to his disciples what following him meant: denial of self and taking up the cross and following him. The Christ of the cross is risen, the cross is not the end. Sin is not the end. Death is not the end. Our suffering is not the end. Christ has the final word and His final word is life in Christ Jesus!!!

Sunday, Aug. 30, 2026
Ralph read the 1st reading from Jeremiah. In chapter 15 the prophet is getting impatient and pleads with the Lord tooome to his rescue. The Lord answered:"If you will be patient and return to me, you will be the one to share my Word." Don't we too get impatient with the Lord when we think something should be done on our time??
The 2nd reading was from Romans, chapter 12. Paul advised the Christians to be loving to one another. We are called to live in harmony with one another and to seek to outdo one another by doing good.
