Please join us in praying for Nepal and Tibet.
Across the border region on the Bhotekoshi River, communities are searching for missing relatives in the aftermath of flash floods caused by a glacier collapse.
The floods hit on 26 August and have claimed over 1,000 lives. Hundreds are still missing.

Please pray:
➡️ For the continued rescue efforts and coordinated response from the Nepalese and Chinese governments at every level, especially in the hardest to reach areas.
➡️ That humanitarian aid will reach those in need and that vital information will be made freely available and uncensored by China so that lives can be saved and families reunited.
➡️ Ask God to console those who lost loved ones and homes in these floods and to give them hope for recovery.

Pastor Ezra is free – but eight others from Zion Church are still in detention. Their trial starts today.

Six pastors, one elder, and a pastor’s wife face charges of fraud and illegal business operations. But in reality, they were targeted for engaging in everyday church activities, such as receiving offerings or selling Bible study courses.

Please join us in prayer for a just outcome in this trial, for the acquittal and freedom of the eight detainees, and that the young families without a mother or father at this time would find comfort and hope.

We pray in hope — remembering that Pastor Ezra Jin and some previously detained church members have already been released in July.

He shared his hopes for freedom for Christians in China:

“Such a future might seem impossibly remote, but so did my release … I couldn’t be more thankful and pray that others still imprisoned will experience this same freedom soon. Mine is a God of miracles, and he constantly surprises me."

The trial will conclude on Tuesday 18 August.

The country experienced the strongest earthquake in a decade on Monday, 10 August. Many of those with whom we work and family members of CSW live in the affected regions but communication has been difficult.

Please pray for a well coordinated and effective response from the government at every level, especially in the hardest to reach areas.

Pastor Karen's husband, Iván, was killed in January 2025 after refusing to allow an armed group to use their church. Today, she continues to live in the same community, holding onto her faith and raising her family.

When President Gustavo Francisco Petro Urrego came to power in August 2022, he promised Paz Total (Total Peace), a safer future for communities across Colombia - but just one year later, religious leaders were stripped of state protections, cutting off access to vital protection programmes.

Violence has intensified in the country, yet religious leaders have been left exposed.
