On Sunday, October 11th, every man at The Well will receive a free copy of Timothy Keller’s short book, "The Freedom of Self-Forgetfulness".

Take the next few weeks to read it - it’s less than 50 pages - and then join us for a Men’s Breakfast on Saturday, November 7th, from 8:00-10:00 AM at the McKenzie home. We’ll enjoy breakfast together and talk honestly about identity, comparison, approval, humility, and what it looks like to find our confidence in Christ.

Want to go deeper? Join the optional Thursday Men’s Small Group, October 15 to November 5, from 7:00-8:00 AM as we discuss the book together.

You cannot resist the devil while you are resisting God.

James reminds us that resisting the enemy begins with submitting ourselves to God. We cannot fight spiritual battles effectively while holding onto the very things that keep us from God. True resistance starts with surrender. Choose to submit to God, draw close to Him, and stand firm against the enemy. When we draw near to Him, He draws near to us.

There will be no Encounter meeting tomorrow, since we held our Prayer & Worship Night early this month in alignment with PURSUE: 10 Days of Prayer.

Thank you for coming alongside us during PURSUE and making space to seek God together! We’re grateful for the ways He is already moving at The Well.

We’ll see you for our next Encounter on October 28th!
