You can’t go to every Mass with your student, meet every new Catholic friend they make, or be there for every conversation about faith when they are in college.

That’s okay.

Your role is changing, but you can still play an important part in helping your student build a life of faith as they prep to go beyond their home parish and routine.

We asked our Newman staff for some of their favorite ways parents can stay supportive without hovering. The result? A few simple things that can make a big difference.

Preview Night at STM tomorrow night (Wednesday, October 21st)

Calling all Junior High Students! Join us at STM Preview Night on Wednesday, October 21, 6:30 to 8:00 pm in the cafeteria.
Learn about our academics, arts, athletics, and extracurricular activities. Hear from current faculty, staff, students and families. Take a tour. For questions email [email protected]

7 - 7:05 PM: Brief Presentation
7:05 - 7:30 PM: Student led tours
7:30 - 8 PM: Teachers present for student/family questions

Schedule Changes This Week

There will be no Mass on Tuesday (October 20th) and no Confessions or Mass on Wednesday (October 21st), as our priests attend the diocesan Assembly Days in Peoria. We will have a communion service at 12:10 PM on both days.

Here is the schedule for the other local parishes:
Holy Cross: Tuesday: 7am Mass; Wednesday: 6pm Mass
St. John's: Tuesday: 12:05 & 5pm Masses; Wednesday: 12:05 & 5pm Masses
St. Matthew: Tuesday: 7am Mass; Wednesday: 7am Communion service

Please keep all the priests of our diocese in your prayers during this time.
