For many Christians, prayer feels a little like being the new kid in school: unsure of what to say and a little afraid to speak up. Prayer can sometimes feel empty, unnecessary, rote, awkward, boring, or scary. You read a prayer, but it feels inauthentic. You try to come up with your own words, and nothing comes.

But what if, rather than inauthenticity, awkwardness, or anxiety, you could draw near with confidence to God’s throne of grace and be sure to find the mercy and grace you need to help in your time of need?

Believe it or not, we are already over halfway through our summer sermon series on worship, and it has been PACKED with Biblical insights into why we do what we do during our worship service.

This past Sunday, Pastor Luke taught us about prayer in the sermon “House of Prayer” on 1 Kings 8:22–53; Isaiah 56:6–8. If you missed it Sunday, definitely check out the full sermon (and the rest of this series, Rhythms of Grace) on our website.

“I hope that my small part in helping with music encourages others to also lift their hearts in worship and love to the Lord.” –Priscilla

God has blessed our church with an abundance of wonderful musicians, and we are so thankful that they use their talents to assist us in worshiping our God each week!

“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace…”

He is not created. He is not finite. He is not corruptible. He is not perishable. He is not dull. He is not weak. He is not temporary. He is not mortal. God alone is holy, holy, holy, utterly unlike all things. 🔥
