“Three Simple Rules To Live By Daily”

Football coach Lou Holtz gave his team three simple rules to live by day by day:
1) Do what is right.
2) Do the best we can to the best of our ability.
3) Always care about others.

These three simple rules are good rules to live by because the Bible tells us so. Rule 1 is found in Galatians 6:9,10 and Acts 10:38. Rule 2 is found in Ecclesiastes 9:10 and Colossians 3:23. Rule 3 is found in Galatians 6:1,2. Let’s follow these simple rules because they are found in God’s Word. If the world would simply follow these it would be a better place.

We would love to study the Book of books with you. If you would be interested, please give us a call at 731-414-5092. Love y’all and have a blessed Wednesday, Tim

But Jesus is still Lord.

Go to church!

Daily Devo For Saturday June 6, 2026

“Grandparents Know…”

The same God who rolled the stone away is the God watching over our grandchildren. The same Savior who conquered the grave is the one guiding their future. Grandparents know we are to set the right example (Matthew 5:13-16) and teach our grandchildren (II Timothy 1:5; II Timothy 3:14,15; Titus 2:1-8). Grandparents know that we need to pray for our grandchildren (James 5:16). Grandparents know that our grandchildren aren’t perfect (Romans 3:23) and neither are we. It is my prayer that I could be half the grandparent my grandparents were to me. I hope that my grandchildren know that I love them and would do anything for them.

It is my continued prayer that our grandchildren would be faithful to God (Revelation 2:10) and that they would always put the church first (Matthew 6:33). So many in this world today fail to keep God in the center of their lives and the center of their homes (Psalm 127:1). Jesus must be first place in our hearts and our lives (Colossians 1:18). What can we do, as grandparents, to encourage our grandchildren. I am sorry for my many mistakes and I pray for our grandchildren to follow the Book of books and the Lord of lords. If you need us, you have our number. Please don’t hesitate to call day or night! Better yet, come by and see us. We will cook you something. If you only knew how much your presence is the greatest present you could give to us. I wish I could visit my grandparents and parents one more time. Grandchildren know that we love you. Have a blessed day, Papa (Tim)

Daily Devo For Friday June 5, 2026

“What Can Wash Away My Sin? Nothing But The Blood Of Jesus”

“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace” (Ephesians 1:7).

“Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot” (I Peter 1:18,19).

“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin” (I John 1:7).

“And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood” (Revelation 1:5).

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb…” (Revelation 12:11).

We sing and rightly so, “What Can Wash Away My Sin? Nothing But The Blood Of Jesus.” We also sing, “There is pow’r, pow’r, Wonder-working power in the blood of the Lamb; There is pow’r, pow’r, Wonder-working power In the precious blood of the Lamb.” Have we come in contact with that soul saving blood of the Lamb by being baptized into Christ (Acts 22:16; Romans 6:3-6; Galatians 3:26-29)? If we can help in anyway, please give us a call at 731-414-5092. Love y’all and have a blessed day, Tim
