Daily Devo For Monday September 7, 2026

“Get The Big Picture” (Part 16)

Notice the faith of Moses’ parents in Hebrews 11:23 and Exodus 2:1,2. Why did they hide Moses in the river? See Exodus 1:22 and Exodus 2:3. By God’s providence Pharoah’s daughter saves Moses from death and takes care of Moses with the help of Moses own mother. We will study this and other events of this time period this Wednesday night. “Will Work Till Jesus Comes”

Happy Labor Day Weekend!!! We celebrate in America our workforce. Have a great day off and enjoy!!! We are so very thankful for every one of you!!!

The foundation of our lives is Jesus Christ (I Corinthians 3:11). Our Christianity must be founded upon the Rock (Matthew 7:24-27) and for Him to be our foundation we must work till Jesus comes (I Corinthians 15:57,58).

Multi sports star and now head football coach of Colorado, Deion Sanders came to a team meeting wearing overalls. He asked his team, “Why do we wear overalls?” The entire team said in unison, “Work.” He then asked his team, “Why do you drive a pickup truck?” They all said together, “Work.” He then went on to tell that the first vehicles that he had bought his sons were pickup trucks. Coach Sanders was emphasizing to his team that no matter whether they won or lost that the most important thing was for them to work. He further illustrated that sentiment after their big victory this week at Georgia Tech. He made his team clean up the visiting locker room before boarding their bus.

Daily Devo For Saturday September 5, 2026

“DO”

Aristotle said, ‘We are what we repeatedly do.” The word “do” emphasizes active obedience, daily practice, and living out our faith through action. The New Testament writer James tells us to be doers of the Word (James 1:21-25). Many other New Testament verses tell us, as Christians, that there are many things we are to do:
“…Do hunger and thirst after righteousness” (Matthew 5:6).

“…Do good to them that hate you” (Matthew 5:44).

“…Whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them” (Matthew 7:12).

“…Do the will of my Father” (Matthew 12:50).

“…Let us do good unto all men” (Galatians 6:10).

“Do all things without murmurings and disputings” (Philippians 2:14).

“That they do good, that they be rich in good works…” (I Timothy 6:18).

“…Do his will” (Hebrews 13:21).

“…Do those things that are pleasing in his sight” (I John 3:22).

On the very last page of the Bible the apostle of love wrote, “Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city” (Revelation 22:14). Daily Devo For Friday September 4, 2026

“We Are What We Think”

Henry Ford said it this way, “If you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right.” Remember the children’s book “The Little Engine That Could.” Wasn’t that book about a little train going up and over the hill because it thought it could. Wise Solomon wrote through inspiration these words, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he” (Proverbs 23:7). The apostle Paul tells us to have the mind of Christ (Philippians 2:5). Notice what he continued to write in a few verses later, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you” (Philippians 4:8,9). In other words, “Think right, do right.” We are what we think. Tomorrow, we will take a closer look at this little word “Do.” Let’s go out there today having the mind of Christ and doing what’s right! Love y’all and have a blessed weekend, Tim

Daily Devo For Thursday September 3, 2026

“How To Respond To Difficult Situations:”

1. Trust God in every circumstance (Proverbs 3:5,6).

2. Pray instead of worrying (Philippians 4:6).

3. Be strong and courageous (Joshua 1:9).

4. Forgive as Christ forgave us (Colossians 3:13).

5. Be kind and compassionate (Ephesians 4:32).

6. Seek first the kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33).

7. Seek wisdom from above (James 1:5).

8. Stand firm in the faith (I Corinthians 16:13).

9. Let our light shine (Matthew 5:16).

10. Be thankful in all circumstances (I Thessalonians 5:18).

Daily Devo For Wednesday September 2, 2026

“Get The Big Picture” (Part 15)

It is interesting that the same word “ark” is used in Genesis 6:14 and in Exodus 2:3. Quite a big difference between the size of Noah’s ark and the ark of bulrushes that Moses was put in to save him from Pharaoh. It is also interesting that pitch was used for both to keep the water out. The apostle Peter uses the example of the ark of Noah to compare with the salvation we can have by being baptized today (I Peter 3:20,21). We invite you tonight to come and watch another video of “Get The Big Picture.” We will continue to study from the Old Testament as we get an overview of God’s Word. Daily Devo For Tuesday September 1, 2026

“Get The Big Picture” (Part 14)

A change in the throne of Egypt brought a change in attitude towards the Israelites (Genesis 50:20; Exodus 1:8-14). However, God blessed Israel even in their struggles in Egypt (Exodus 1:15,16). We will have struggles in this life (Job 14:1), but God will see us through them (Hebrews 13:5,6; I Peter 5:6-11). We hope you will join us Wednesday Night at 7 P.M. as we watch another lesson of “Get The Big Picture.” Brother Matt Wallin is doing a great job with this study. We also thank Brother Joshua Mayo in his series of lessons from the life of Joseph on Sunday mornings. Many great lessons can be seen from this godly man’s life. One that can be clearly seen throughout Joseph’s life is the providence of God (Genesis 50:20). Love y’all and have a blessed day, Tim
