Hello Everyone,
I hope you are doing well this Easter season. Easter is a time of plentiful grace, and I pray you are able to receive the fullness of that grace in which God desires to pour into your souls. Today, I write to you with a humbled heart. Many of you know that the Mission is fully under the guidance of our dear Eucharistic King and His Mother, Our Mother. The Mission has always been driven from the hearts of the people and is here to help the people know what it is to be a Christian and a Catholic.
Throughout the years, we have given out rosaries and scapulars at no cost. We have opened the St. Joseph Closet to meet the needs of the poor by providing them with food and clothes. We have reached out to people throughout the entire world (Over 1.5 Billion People), allowing them to see the love of Christ in our words and actions. To be part of the Mission is not just being part of an organization, it is uniting our efforts with the Heart of Christ and the grace of Our Mother's hands to accomplish amazing things. In the process, we bring the presence and love of Jesus to others.
As many of you know, we have been refocusing our works in the dioceses near us, going back to the basics which our Lady has always asked of us, namely prayer and penance. As we look toward the future, we are asked to grow in places that ignite the fire within the hearts of the people whenever and wherever they may be. We cannot do it alone. The Mission and its future can only be driven be by the hearts of the people, those who love Christ and his Church. Today, the Mission stands at a crossroads in time. It is with great humility that I have to communicate to you the problem that we face.
It is very difficult for me to ask for your help, but I have no choice. We are in need of financial aid, an increase in prayers, and volunteer help near our local area. Before you decide to help or not, I beg you to pray and see if our Lady touches your heart to do such. We ask you to join us in a novena to Saint Joseph (see below) beginning this Saturday, April 19th. As Saint Faustina and her order embraced Saint Joseph for help, protection and guidance, so we now do the same. The novena below will become a perpetual prayer within the life of the Mission. During this novena, please also keep in prayer the soul of Father Richard, our late spiritual director. He passed away January 21st in Rome. Please pray for him, his family, and for a new spiritual director for the Mission. As soon as plans are completed, we will be sending out information concerning a memorial mass. If you have any questions, including the placement of funds/services, etc, or would like to help us in the ways mentioned above, please contact us at: [email protected] , 1444C Highway 1, Thibodaux, LA 70301, or 985-448-3787. Remember, the Lord loves a genuine heart.
Please take the following 9 days of prayer to sit with our loving God and listen to see if He touches your heart to help us.
Memorare to St. Joseph
Remember, O most chaste spouse of the Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who implored your help and sought your intercession were left unassisted. Full of confidence in your power I fly unto you and beg your protection. Despise not O Guardian of the Redeemer my humble supplication, but in your bounty, hear and answer me. Amen.
Our Father
Hail Mary
Glory Be
God bless you, one and all.
