Steele Baptist Church is so excited to have this duo coming to visit next Wednesday May 27 @ 6:30! That’s going to also be our VBS registration night!

I obviously have never “seen” this picture but I have heard it’s a really great one. I wanted to share it and caption it but instead I will just tell a little background info.

I started singing about a year after I went blind. I have been blind for four and a half years now. I had always enjoyed music but never considered myself a singer. Singing became my pastime since drawing and painting and riding my bike were just not the same since losing my sight. I started singing in church and then other churches. I started sharing about losing my vision and how God had carried me and my family and how He provided for me in other ways. Then my brother Isaac started picking around on the guitar for me, so I could sing along. He taught himself and got even better. Then he would sing with me. And wow, he sings really good! I never knew he could sing! I am his number one fan. Now we get to go places and sing and share together.

In the portrait studio that day, we had been doing some poses and following directions but then one of us said something funny. I don’t even remember who or what and Mr Bentley just kept snapping the camera. I have an idea in my mind what it looks like but I asked my mom to describe it. Momma says it can be described with a lot of words but “another provision” is way up on the list.

Here are more photos from the May 17 Steele Trotters trip. Lunch was at Michael's Casual Dining in Athens, TN. Several Trotters ordered catfish and reported it was very good! Lunch was followed by a tour of Mayfield Dairy. No photos were allowed on the tour. At the end of the tour, free ice cream was offered and enjoyed. Celebrating our mothers today at Steele Baptist Church. Our youngest mothers were Autumn Loftis, Ashlyn Johns and Ashley Kirkland. Our oldest mother was Frances Pender. Our mother with the most children was Frances Gonzales. Also honoring our pastor’s wife Connie Washington and our pianist Linda Smith.
