The FGC Governing Board met for its inaugural meeting on February 20-22, 2026 and set priorities for the coming year. After decades of service under the Central Committee and Executive Committee structure, FGC has officially transitioned to a new, three-body volunteer model. We are grateful for the work of the Governing Board, for the preparation and inspiration they bring. Thank you!

Friends, I am sad to share with you the news of the passing of Steve Heitman. Many of us will remember him fondly from his time at our meeting and beyond.

As D David Harer shared, Steve also cared deeply about his work at at the Saint Louis Effort for AIDS and AIDS Help.

Friends please join many Friends around the world in holding the six people who were arrested in the Light as well as all Friends who attend meeting at Westminster meetinghouse. Clearly, this is a shock to all Friends involved, Friends in the UK, and Friends around the world.

Police broke into a Quaker Meeting House last night (27 March) and arrested six young people holding a meeting over concerns for the climate and Gaza.

Join FGC for an interfaith prayer vigil. We'll meet on the eve of the first hearing of our historic lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security. The vigil will take place on Thursday, April 3rd, at 6:30pm at National City Christian Church in Washington, DC. You may also attend remotely. Together, people of faith will gather in solidarity. We'll lift up prayers for justice, compassion, and the protection of immigrant communities. All are welcome to stand with us in this moment of faith and resolve.
