What can you learn at the Outreach Conference? Learn how to build a warm welcome, how to partner with community groups, and what makes a thriving a meeting. Here’s a preview of what’s coming up in the workshops. Register to attend!

Melinda Wenner Bradley, co-founder of the Quaker Religious Education Collaborative and Faith & Play Stories, will show Friends how to minister to the needs of both adults and children at the meeting. Naveed Moeed, co-clerk for the American Friends Service Committee South Region Executive Committee, will describe ways for meetings to develop introspection and clear vision so they can partner well with community agencies. Naveed reminds Friends that strong community partnerships “begin with humility, self-awareness, and a willingness to learn.” Jade Rockwell, program director of Quaker Connect, will summarize research by the Friends World Committee for Consultation to learn what makes a thriving meeting. She’ll share stories and insights about what’s working for Quaker meetings in several countries. And alicia nance, FGC’s Ministry on Racism Program Coordinator, will share practical tips about outreach and visibility.

The FGC Governing Board met for its inaugural meeting on February 20-22, 2026 and set priorities for the coming year. After decades of service under the Central Committee and Executive Committee structure, FGC has officially transitioned to a new, three-body volunteer model. We are grateful for the work of the Governing Board, for the preparation and inspiration they bring. Thank you!
