WE DON'T JUST GO TO CHURCH, WE ARE THE CHURCH

Whether she’s serving a donut or cooking up a savory meal with her daughter for special events, for Fran, it’s about so much more than the food. When she was relatively new to Faith Oakville, these simple moments of service became her bridge to a deep, life-changing community - first with others, then with Jesus.

"Those little interactions, the hugs, the 'how are yous,' and the 'thank yous', give me so much," she says. "When you live alone, that part is so important to your week. And I want everyone to know how important they are to me."

For Fran, cooking is love, and serving is how she reminds every person who walks through the door that their presence matters. It started with a donut, but it led to a closer walk with Jesus, a stronger bond with her daughter Taylor, and the realization that “we don’t just go to church - we are the church.”

Fishing, fellowship, and a whole lot of fun 🎣🔥

An afternoon packed with BBQ, great conversations, a meaningful devotion, and plenty of time by the water trying to reel in “the big one.”

It was a great day filled with laughs, connection, and community. Thanks to the Squadron 314 life group for putting together a great afternoon!
