Today, on the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation, LCWR and many congregations around the world join in one prayer for our common home.
As our world faces extreme heat, floods, fires, displacement, and forced migration, we recognize that the climate crisis is deeply intertwined with racism, poverty, and injustice, with those who have contributed least often carrying the greatest burden.
May our prayer become care, our gratitude become action, and our love for creation become a promise to generations still to come. The earth we cherish today is the home they will inherit tomorrow. May we care for it, and for one another, with reverence, courage, and hope.

Sisters Regina Marie Fronmüller and Rita Ann Bregenhorn spend the past week in Springfield, Illinois, where they visited friends, family and fellow Ursuline Sisters Theresa Davey and Brendan Jacoby--in addition to Sister Kevin Ritterbusch, who joined them for a selfie. While there, they also checked out the butter cow at the Illinois State Fair! 🙂

Ursulines from around the Central Province gathered in St. Louis for a province meeting at Pallotine Retreat and Conference Center last week. In addition to province business, prayer and reflection, the three-day meeting allowed time for the sisters to catch up with those they hadn't seen recently and enjoy each other's company over meals and evening games.

Our coworkers treated us to our annual luncheon on Thursday. The delicious meal is always followed by a few games. Somes years they are really wild--this year they were fairly tame. The whole event is always a surprise for us!🙂
