Abortion is never a “safe” procedure, whether it happens by pill at home, at an abortion clinic or elsewhere. We must not believe the illusion that the abortion industry would have us believe that “safe” abortions exist. If abortion were to become illegal in every state by every means, it would allow greater focus on better health care for pregnant mothers.

The definition of health care will change depending on who you ask. Rightly understood, the medical profession is a God-given vocation to care for the sick, remediate illness, heal disease and restore the body to a state of good health and function. Medical professionals and the instruments and institutions that make up health care, therefore, should serve this end. Abortion is not health care as a Christian understands health care because it provides none of the restorative functions above, but rather does the opposite.
