Today the CME Church celebrated NAACP Day. We had an amazing service at Murchison Tabernacle. John Gaskin, III, the grandson of our courageous shero for justice (The Honorable Esther Haywood) delivered a powerful message. Sister Haywood would have been elated. We are so proud of how the Lord is using John for His glory!!

We had a membership drive and several expressed an interest and scanned for membership information.

I pray that our youth and young adults were inspired by this young man’s passion for justice.

The Rev. Jesse Jacksons and John Lewis’s of today are already on the battlefield. Let us not look down on them because of their youth but join the fight by advocating for the lost, least and the left out.

I was encouraged to do more today and I will.
Thanks John for learning from and listening to your village and stepping out on faith to act justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
