The music ministry at Salem in Ladue United Methodist Church includes persons of all ages who sing, ring, or play to the glory of God. Our goals in the ministry of music are to beautify and enhance worship through music and other arts and to educate our children in the function of music in worship. Music develops our Christian faith through the singing of hymns and anthems, and it provides opportu
nities for fellowship and service to all members of the church through God’s gift of music. New persons are welcomed into a group at any time throughout the year, and we encourage everyone in the congregation to participate, the only requirement being a true desire to be of regular and dedicated service. In addition to choirs, Salem appreciates the gifts of musicians who are willing to share their talents on special occasions. Rehearsals for the 2012-13 year are:
Chancel Choir - sings for 10:45 worship from September through May. The Faith We Ring Handbell Choir - rings 1X per month, usually for 8:30 and 10:45 worship. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings 6:30-7:30 p.m. Women's Ensemble - Rehearses 1X per month and sings 1X per month at 8:30 worship. Rehearsal and singing dates will be posted on this page.
