🇺🇸 Trinity Lutheran Church was honored to be part of a very special event this past Sunday as the VFW Post 4219 Memorial was rededicated following significant improvements and enhancements.
Pastor Thomas was blessed to participate in the ceremony, offering both the opening and closing prayers as our community gathered to honor the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
Originally dedicated on September 7, 2003, the Memorial was established to recognize all who have answered the call to serve our nation.
Thanks to the outstanding Eagle Scout project of Life Scout Lucas Niemeyer, the Memorial has been beautifully renewed with new landscaping, handicap accessibility, benches, and improved lighting to ensure that this place of remembrance will continue to serve veterans, families, and our community for years to come.
We give thanks for the dedication of Lucas, his family, the leadership of VFW Post 4219, and all the volunteers and supporters who made this project possible. We are also grateful for the opportunity to join our neighbors in remembering the sacrifices of those who have defended our freedoms.
As Christians, we remember the words of our Lord: “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13)
May God continue to bless our veterans, active-duty service members, and their families.
🇺🇸 Thank you for your service. We remember. We honor. We give thanks.
