✝️ ALL SAINTS’ DAY — REMEMBERING THOSE WHO REST IN CHRIST

Join us this Sunday at 8:00 and 10:30 AM for All Saints’ Day, November 1, as we give thanks to God for the faithful Christians who have gone before us, especially those from our Trinity family who have entered eternal rest this past year.

While we remember them with love and gratitude, we also rejoice in the promise that death does not have the final word. Through Jesus Christ, we have the sure and certain hope of the resurrection and everlasting life.

All Saints’ Day reminds us that the cemetery is not the end of the Christian story. Christ is risen, and because He lives, we shall live also!

“Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord.” — Revelation 14:13

⛪ Join us at Trinity for All Saints’ Day worship on Sunday, November 1! Will also be joined by the bells of Joy choir from Messiah Lutheran Church. as well!

Come as we remember the faithful departed, give thanks for God’s promises, and rejoice together in the hope of the resurrection.

Reformation Sunday isn’t just about remembering Martin Luther and an event over 500 years ago. It’s about celebrating the Good News that is just as true for us today:

We are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone!

So wear your red this Sunday and join us as we celebrate God’s amazing grace and the Gospel that continues to give us hope! ❤️

What a great time being a guest on KFUO Lutheran Radio’s The Coffee Hour! 🎙️☕️

Pastor Thomas had a wonderful time joining hosts Andy Bates and Sarah Gulseth, along with U.S. Navy Chaplain Karl Gibbs, for a conversation about what it means to serve as both shepherds and soldiers, answering God’s call to serve both His Church and our country. 🇺🇸✝️

A lot of great conversation, fellowship, and laughs!

We’re also excited that Trinity Lutheran Church and School in Orchard Farm will be KFUO’s Featured Church of the Week that same week! What a wonderful opportunity to share a little about our congregation and ministry!

Today we recognize and thank the pastors who faithfully serve LCMS congregations.
Week after week, you prepare sermons, teach God's Word, visit the sick, counsel families, lead Bible studies and walk with people through both celebrations and hardships. Much of that work happens quietly, without recognition, but the impact is lasting.

Thank you for your faithfulness to Christ, your congregations and the communities you serve.

As we celebrate 150 years of God’s faithfulness to Trinity, we are thankful that God has allowed us to share the past 10 years of that journey with you. For a decade, you have faithfully served, shepherded, encouraged, taught, prayed, and walked alongside us through both joyful and challenging times.

Please join us in wishing Pastor Thomas a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY! May God continue to bless you with many more years of joyful service and good health!

Dear Beloved in the Lord!

I am reminded of Saint Paul's words to the church at Thessalonica: “We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly mentioning you in our prayers, remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Thes. 1:2–3 ESV).

Over the past year, I have been blessed by the congregations of the District through their prayers and love. I have deeply appreciated it.

I'm very pleased to share with you that today marks my return to full-time work in the Missouri District office. This comes after an extensive time of therapy following my stroke. I returned to work part-time in April while continuing in therapy. By God's grace and strength, I am now able to devote my full attention to my responsibilities as District president.

Once again, let me take this opportunity to give thanks to God for the Missouri District staff, board of directors, and praesidium. I was able to take the time needed to focus on my therapy and not rush back. While I still have some limitations on my right side, I am thankful for the progress that I have made. In particular, I am looking forward to resuming driving in the coming weeks.

Since returning to work part time, I have been able to preach, conduct installations, and meet with call committees to discuss their next pastor. It felt like getting back in the saddle again. I have also attended the Synod Convention in Phoenix, an orientation for new church workers, and a circuit visitor training in August. I am especially looking forward to the Professional Church Workers Conference coming up in October. It will be a joy to be with our pastors, teachers, and other church workers for this time of encouragement. I have also begun visiting each of the circuit winkels across the District.

For the many congregations and individuals who have included me in your prayers for healing, I thank you. I also wanted to encourage you to now give thanks to God for the healing and strength He has granted.

I am excited about the opportunities we have in the Missouri District. I pray that God will truly bless our partnership in the Gospel. Thank you for your prayers and support, and for your faithfulness to Christ in His Church.
