What a night! 🎃🍬

Our first-ever Soma Trunk or Treat was one for the books! From creative costumes and decorated trunks to lots of candy and smiles, we loved seeing our church family and community come together!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who volunteered, donated candy, or joined us for the fun. You made this night so special!

At Soma, we believe the church is more than a Sunday gathering. We’re here to love, serve, and build relationships with the community around us. We’re grateful to be part of this community and can’t wait to do it again!

This morning, we’re laying down our distractions, surrendering our hearts, and fixing our eyes on Jesus.

Our prayer is simple: that we would draw near to Him, rest in His presence, and give Him the worship He deserves.

We were created to worship. 🙌

Not just with the songs we sing, but with the lives we live. Worship is our response to a God whose love never fails, whose grace never runs out, and whose faithfulness never changes.

This morning, as we gather together, may we be reminded that worship isn’t about us. It’s about Him. The One who is worthy of every song, every breath, and every moment of our lives.

”Here I am to worship, here I am to bow down, here I am to say that You’re my God.”

Come with a heart ready to worship, a spirit ready to surrender, and an expectation that God will meet us here.

From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible tells one incredible story: the relentless love of a God who refuses to give up on His people.

The story of Hosea and Gomer gives us a powerful picture of that love. Despite Gomer’s unfaithfulness, Hosea pursues her and pays the price to bring her home. It’s a beautiful reflection of the gospel.

We are Gomer. Unfaithful, undeserving, and unable to rescue ourselves. Yet God, in His great love, pursued us. Not because we earned it, but because of who He is.

Romans 5:8 reminds us that “while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

The cross is the ultimate expression of God’s relentless pursuit of us. No matter how far we’ve wandered, His grace is greater than our failures, and His love goes further than we could ever imagine.

That’s the story of Hosea. That’s the story of the gospel. And that’s the love of our God.

We don’t gather because we have it all together. We gather because we serve a God whose grace meets us right where we are.

As we come together this morning, may our hearts be marked by humility, gratitude, and a willingness to be changed. Not simply going through the motions of worship, but recognizing the goodness of the God who invites us into His presence.

We come not to earn His love, but to respond to the love and grace He has already so freely given.

Join us this morning at Soma at 10am as we worship, open God’s Word, and turn our hearts toward Him. We’d love to see you!

Who do you say Jesus is?

That is not a casual question, it is the most consequential one you will ever answer.

In Mark 12:35–37, Jesus challenges the crowd with a riddle rooted in Psalm 110:1: How can the Messiah be both David’s descendant and David’s Lord? The answer reveals everything. Jesus is not merely a great teacher or historical figure. He is the eternal God who stepped into human history to save us.

C.S. Lewis famously argued that Jesus leaves us no comfortable middle ground: He cannot simply be dismissed as a great moral teacher while we reject His claims about who He is.

And our answer is not just spoken with words. It is lived out in our finances, our relationships, our speech, and our daily choices.

Have you surrendered to Him? And if so, does your life still reflect that surrender?

He is either Lord of all, or not Lord at all.

We were created by God, for God.

Before anything else defines us, this is what we were made for: to know Him, love Him, and glorify Him with our lives. Every breath is a gift, and every breath is an opportunity to bless the One who gave it.

This morning, we get to step into that reality together, to turn our attention away from ourselves and toward the One who is worthy of it all.

Come worship with us this morning at 10am. And let everything within us bless God.

When the sun comes up, satisfy us.
Before the day has passed us by.
Before our hearts forget all Your goodness,
satisfy us with Your love.

May that be our prayer this morning, that before anything else captures our attention or affection, we would be satisfied in the love and goodness of God.

May nothing we do this morning come from obligation, but from a deep love and reverence for You.

Give us clean hands. Give us pure hearts. Let our worship be more than words we sing, let it be the posture of our lives.

Strip away every distraction and every lesser thing that fights for our affection. Draw our hearts back to You. There’s no place we’d rather be than at your feet.
