Saturday, June 7 is National Cancer Survivors Day.
The numbers are staggering. About 18.6 million Americans are living as cancer survivors right now, and about 1 in 3 people in the U.S. is expected to receive a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime.
That means nearly all of us have been touched by this disease in some way, whether it was our own journey or walking alongside someone we love.
If you or someone you care about is navigating cancer right now, please know that local support is available. Cancer CAREpoint, right here in our community, provides free resources, support groups, and services for cancer patients and their families because no one should have to face this alone.
And if you're looking for a meaningful way to get involved, mark your calendar for the Relay for Life of Campbell on July 11 and 12 at the Campbell Community Center. It's a beautiful, powerful night of celebrating survivors, honoring those we've lost, and raising money to keep fighting.
๐ To every survivor, caregiver, and family member in our community: you are seen, you are supported, and you are not alone.
