The Legion of Mary (Latin: Legio Mariae) is an international association of the faithful of the Catholic Church who serve the Church on a voluntary basis. It was founded in Dublin, Ireland, as a Roman Catholic Marian Movement by layman Frank Duff. Today between active and auxiliary (praying) members there are over 10 million members worldwide making it the largest apostolic organization of lay peo

ple in the Catholic Church. To be in the Legion of Mary, one must be a practicing Catholic. Active members serve God under the banner of Mary by practicing the Spiritual Works of Mercy. The main apostolate of the Legion consists in activities directed towards all men and women, young and old, rich and poor as well as people from the margins of society (homeless, prostitutes, prisoners etc.) and towards non-Catholics. The members of the Legion are primarily engaged in the performance of the Spiritual Works of Mercy rather than works of material aid.

Jesus, Mary I love you. We honor your Immaculate Heart, O Bessed Mother, in this month of May. Pray for us dear Mother, and sooth our sorrows away. As we contemplate the glorious ressurection of your son, Jesus, and the eternal Life to come, we consecrate ourselves to your Immaculate Heart today. Star of the Sea, guide us to the eternal shores of Heaven, where we can rejoice with you and Jesus in unity with the Holy Trinity, and in communion with the Angels and Saints, forever. Alleluia, alleluia, amen. Fiat!

O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. And pray that by the Mercy of God, this coronavirus pandemic be lifted from the face of the earth. Hail Mary, full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and Blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. May those who have become sick with this virus, be completed restored to good health. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. And for those who have succumbed to this virus, may their soul be saved and fly to Heaven, and their purgation be short. And that they would be received into eternal beattitude with Jesus and Mary, in the Glory of the Father and in unity of the Holy Spirit, One God, forever, in communion with His Angels and Saints. We pray this through the same Christ, our Lord, Amen.
