Congregation Shir Hadash stands in solidarity with and care for our Muslim neighbors in the wake of the shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego. Houses of worship must be places of safety, comfort, and peace. No one should have to conduct a threat assessment before attending services, and every person deserves to feel secure when entering a sacred space.

At this critical moment, leaders across faith communities are advocating for stronger protections for religious institutions including our own Daniel Klein, CEO of Jewish Silicon Valley, who is among those currently lobbying for a 300% increase in federal security funding to help safeguard houses of worship of all faiths.
