THE COMEBACK | WEEK 12: BOOK OF JOEL

Today we welcome our special guest, Joel Barrera, as he brings the message from the Book of Joel.

When life gets difficult, where do we turn first? Joel reminds us of a simple but powerful truth: The Lord is God. No matter how distracted, distant, or overwhelmed we become, God calls His people to come back to Him.

Today, we’re walking through four steps of a COMEBACK:

REPENT: Regret and Reform.
RETURN: Refocus on the Lord.
REND: Rip out what is separating you from God.
RESTORE: Allow God to renew you through His Spirit.

“Return to me with all your heart...”
Joel 2:12

God isn’t looking for an outward performance. He wants our hearts. Joel 2:13 tells us to “rend your heart and not your garments.” A true comeback begins when we turn our hearts back to God, surrender what has taken His place, and allow Him to restore what only He can restore.

And as we prepare to celebrate 11 YEARS OF WATERSHED on September 20, maybe your next step is baptism!

If you’ve placed your faith in Jesus but haven’t followed Him in baptism, we would love to celebrate that step with you at our Anniversary Celebration. September 20 could mark more than 11 years of Watershed. It could mark a new chapter in your walk with Jesus.

Your comeback can start today.

AGAIN? | When the Cycle Keeps Repeating

Have you ever found yourself fighting the same battle AGAIN?

Today, we’re in Nehemiah 13, where the people who experienced God’s faithfulness find themselves drifting back into old patterns. Nehemiah reminds us that following God requires more than good intentions. It requires commitment, accountability, and a heart that keeps returning to Him.

When you fall, get back up. When you drift, come back. When old patterns return, choose obedience AGAIN.

And maybe your next step is baptism. On September 20th, we’re celebrating 11 YEARS OF WATERSHED! What better way to celebrate than by publicly declaring the new life you have in Jesus through baptism?

Ready to be baptized? Let us know today and join us for the celebration on September 20th!

THE COMEBACK | Week 11: EMBRACE JOY

Today, we celebrate what God has done!

As we continue The Comeback, Nehemiah 12 reminds us that after the rebuilding came a moment of worship, thanksgiving, dedication, and JOY. The people had faced opposition, hardship, and sacrifice, but they did not forget to celebrate the faithfulness of God.

As followers of Jesus, our joy is not determined by our circumstances. Our joy is found in the Lord.

So today, we choose to EMBRACE JOY. Celebrate what God is doing. Encourage others. Give thanks. Worship Jesus. Pursue happiness, but choose joy.

No matter what season you are walking through, you have a reason to celebrate because Jesus is still good, still faithful, and still at work.

Join us LIVE for Week 11 of The Comeback: EMBRACE JOY.

What does it really mean to live differently because we belong to God?

As we continue The Comeback, Nehemiah shows us that rebuilding the walls was never the ultimate goal. God was rebuilding a people who would be committed to Him, live according to His Word, and make an impact on the world around them.

Today we're talking about covenant. A life set apart for God.

That means our faith affects our relationships, our responsibilities, our generosity, our priorities, and the mission God has placed before us. We aren't called to simply know God's Word. We're called to live it.

Jesus established the New Covenant through His blood, and because of Him, we don't have to earn our way to God. We respond to His grace by following Him faithfully and making disciples.

Where is your heart today? Are you drifting, or are you intentionally living the life Jesus has called you to live?

Join us for Week 10 of The Comeback as we recommit ourselves to following Jesus, loving people, and living on mission.
