SANDRA’S HONEY APPLE CRISP
INGREDIENTS
4 large Honeycrisp apples, peeled and sliced into cubes
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup water
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup old-fashioned oats

INSTRUCTIONS
Peel, core, and chop the Honeycrisp apples into 1-inch cubes. Place the apples, cinnamon, and water in a bowl and toss. Then place the apples into a buttered 11 x 7-inch pan or 8x8- inch pan.

In a small bowl combine the sugar, flour, oats, and melted butter and mix until crumbly and well-blended. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the apples.

Place the pan in a preheated 350° oven and bake for 45 minutes until the crust is golden brown. May be served warm or cool and topped with whipped cream.

The Golden Rule is found in many religious and spiritual traditions: do unto others as you would like them to do unto you, right?

So on this , check-in with yourself first.
What do you need to feel loved today?
Now, how can you bring that spirit to someone in your world…today?

Eggroll in a Bowl

*Brown in a skillet with 1 T oil (in order):

-1 medium onion and
-1 cup shredded carrots
-3 cloves garlic
-½ t ground ginger
-1 lb ground beef, turkey, or chicken

*When the ground meat is thoroughly cooked and crumbled, add:

-1 small head of cabbage, thinly sliced (or a bag of coleslaw mix). Stir until the cabbage is cooked to your liking.

*Combine and add to mixture above::

-¼ c soy sauce
-1 T sesame oil (too much for me-I use about 4 drops)
-½ t red pepper flakes
-salt and pepper to taste

*Mix well and bring up to a boil. Serve with rice and/or crisp wonton chips
