A quick text to our son this morning
Storm - A cool fact to know this morning:
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning." (John 1:1-2 NIV)
Read it slowly to try to understand.
Cool fact. It is written in the Hebrew language.
The word He in the last sentence is plural but we know God is ONE.
But since it is plural Who was with God in the beginning creating the world? The WORD – WHO IS JESUS CHRIST.
We are little saints – called Christians. Christ is THE WORD.
God created the world by speaking it into being, “Let there be…”
So, we also must understand that what we speak – creates and forms our world, especially within.
If you speak about how stupid you are, you will feel stupid and even perhaps fail more often than not.
If you speak about how fearful and worried you are – you will not have peace.
And remember, what you speak comes from what is already in your heart.
So if you pour fear media into my heart – fear will eventually come out.
I know this is concise, but what you SEE, HEAR, DO and WHO you hang around with becomes what is in your heart – whether you like it or not.
So be aware and picky about what you SEE, HEAR, DO and WHO you hang around with.
ALSO, stay in THE WORD to remind yourself of WHO YOU ARE.
You are a son of THE MOST HIGH GOD. You do not need to look at anyone else.
It can be easy to feel like we deserve the blessings of others. It can also be easy to be upset with others seem to have no problems even though they cheat, lie hurt others.
First of all God made you absolutely unique. Your fingerprint doesn’t match anyone else’s. He put you in your generation for a reason. He put you in your exact area of the world for a reason.
Looking at someone else is futile. You be you. If you don’t fulfill who you are, no one else will. And then the world misses out on the plan God has for you.
Secondly, remember promise from God –
“… “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge His people. It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” (Hebrews 10:30,31)
PS. When Jesus was born - the book of John says, “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling AMONG us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
But when we receive The Lord, The Word resides WITHIN US.
