Hey!! We have a note from Seminarian Jacob Means!!
"I am in Rome studying at the Pontifical North American College (commonly called the NAC). This is also where seminarian Tom Malone is! It's been a whirlwind since I got here a little over two months ago. After a quick orientation, I went to Siena for an Italian language immersion. During our 4 weeks stay in Siena, the new seminarians had wonderful opportunities to pray at the home of St. Catherine of Siena and venerate her relics. We were also able to see the Palio di Siena, which is a famous horse race in the city. After language school in Siena, we continued our Italian studies at the NAC for another month. Over the last month, we were able to attend an Angelus with the Pope, tour many of the major basilicas and catacombs, and even spend a weekend in Assisi. There has never been a dull day in Italy. I am still getting used to the differences in culture and language but as they say, "piano, piano." Even though I just started in my theology studies and am half-way around the world, I always think about my home and the Diocese of Reno. You are all in my prayers, and I ask that I remain in yours!"
