A simple way I connect my kids to God and the Bible- I have learned to turn my children's sweet interruptions of my morning Bible time into opportunities for growth. We read a passage from one of the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John) and I ask what do we learn about God from this? They get to write that in the Bible and we talk about how knowing that about God would affect their day or week? Allow for open discussion- it's amazing what their little eyes see! Today they wrote- "God cares for us" and "Jesus can do anything"- that changes all of our perspectives!

We loved seeing families work together at Jingle Jam to stuff 800 Christmas bags for our house-less neighbors at the Cares Shelter! It’s beautiful to see how God can speak through the simple words of children ❤️

Come to Jingle Jam, our family Christmas celebration and service event on Sunday, December 11th from 6-8 pm. We’ll worship with our kids choir, play some fun games, and work together to stuff 800 bags for the clients at Reno’s largest homeless shelter. Register on church center today!

Yesterday our elementary schoolers learned to hold on because God is still in control! They found out that drawing on their heads was way easier when someone guided their hand, just like how life is way easier when we know God is guiding us! 💕

Can you believe it’s already October? This month, our preschoolers are focusing on how God has plans for us. Our elementary schoolers are learning that God can help us have grit- which is refusing to give up when life gets hard.

Try out this easy science activity this weekend to remind your kids that God loves them when they’re happy and when they’re sad! Just put some raisins in sprite for a few minutes and watch how the carbon dioxide bubbles make them dance to the top and then how they sink when those bubbles pop.
