It is important to perform preventive maintenance for ourselves yearly. Do you have high blood pressure or high cholesterol, diabetes, or a family history of heart disease, stroke, abdominal aneurysm, or internal cancers? If so, do not miss this opportunity for early detection of a possibly serious disease. These screenings are typically NOT performed at your annual check-up, and insurance companies may not pay for them unless you are symptomatic. The Marthas & Marys 2nd annual Silly Tax Fundraiser will start March 21, 2026 and go through tax time with an extension until April 26, 2026. Tax forms and return envelopes are in the back of the church. Return them in the collection basket or the Marthas & Marys hanging file which is on the wall outside of the church office.

𝑹𝙚𝒄𝙤𝒈𝙣𝒊𝙩𝒊𝙤𝒏 𝑩𝙖𝒏𝙦𝒖𝙚𝒕: Please join us in congratulating Rita Garcia and Armando Lazaro. They are the 2026 Diocesan Volunteer Recognition recipients from St Michael’s. The Recognition Banquet is being held on Friday April 24th at the Atlantis Hotel, Paradise Ballroom in Reno. There will be a no-host bar at 5:30pm followed by dinner at 6:30pm. 𝑪𝙤𝒏𝙨𝒆𝙘𝒓𝙖𝒕𝙞𝒐𝙣 𝙩𝒐 𝒕𝙝𝒆 𝑺𝙖𝒄𝙧𝒆𝙙 𝙃𝒆𝙖𝒓𝙩 𝙤𝒇 𝑱𝙚𝒔𝙪𝒔: As part of the 250th anniversary of the nationhood of the United States the Bishops of the United States will consecrate our country to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. All parishes in the Diocese of Reno will pray the Prayer of Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus at the conclusion of the 30 seconds of Sacred Silence following reception of Communion. This communal prayer will begin on Divine Mercy Sunday (April 12th) and will end on the 13th Sunday in ordinary time (July 5th). Please visit the Diocese of Reno website and the USCCB website for other resources that will help us to grow closer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and deepen our love for His endless mercy.
