After gathering for a special blessing this morning, our anglers have officially headed out for the Bishop's Fishing Tournament. We pray for safe travels, a great day on the water, and plenty of fellowship as we come together to support our seminarians.

The tents are going up, the sandwiches are being made, and the excitement is building for tomorrow's Bishop's Fishing Tournament! 🎣

It takes an amazing group of volunteers to make this fundraiser for our seminarians possible, and we are so grateful for everyone who has pitched in to help. (And yes... the prime rib is already marinating! 😋)

We'll see all of our anglers tomorrow morning. Registration starts at 6:30 a.m. CT - Good luck, everyone!

This past weekend, two seminarians from Diocese of Rapid City were ordained to the diaconate.

As we prepare for the Bishop's Fishing Tournament this coming Monday, we're reminded that this event is about much more than a day on the water. It is about supporting the men who are answering Christ's call to serve His Church.

Congratulations to Deacon Josiah Hanson and Deacon Blane Schriock. Please keep them in your prayers as they continue their journey toward the priesthood.

Thank you to everyone whose generosity helps support seminarian formation throughout the Diocese of Rapid City.

🎣 One week until the Bishop’s Fishing Tournament!

The excitement is building as we get everything ready for a great day at Oahe Downstream Recreation Area on June 8. We’re receiving some wonderful silent auction items. There will be something for everyone to bid on while supporting a great cause.

Every registration, sponsorship, and auction bid helps support the education and formation of seminarians serving western South Dakota.

Take a look at just a few of the auction items we’ve received so far, and stay tuned as we highlight more in the days ahead. We can’t wait to see families, anglers, volunteers, and supporters come together for a weekend of fishing, fellowship, and a mission that matters.
