What a gift it was to welcome Rod and Jennifer Carlson of Living Logos to Destiny this weekend!
Through years of preparation, they have hidden God’s Word in their hearts—and they bring Scripture to life by presenting it from memory and in character.
As Rod recited Philippians, Pastor Shawn shared that he kept hearing echoes from different seasons of his own life. “One passage would bring me back to a time when those very words had encouraged me, sustained me, corrected me, or transformed me. It reminded me that Scripture is not simply something we read once and move on from. God plants His Word within us, and Holy Spirit brings it back to us when we need it most.”
Several people shared that hearing Scripture presented this way caused familiar passages to stand out in an entirely new way.
Rod closed the service by challenging each of us to hide God’s Word in our own hearts—not merely to know about it, but so that it can take root within us and shape the way we live.
