Beacon Baptist Church

Beacon Baptist Church Beacon Baptist Church exists to help people find and follow Jesus. In the beginning, this small group of believers met in the home of J.D. Ballance.

Beacon Baptist Church of Raleigh, North Carolina was organized on June 4, 1948 with ten charter members. Later, as the congregation grew, they began to meet in a building on the corner of Franklin and Bloodworth Streets, then moved to 501 East Lane Street. In 1966, the church voted to purchase 21 acres of land on Trawick Road and erect a new metal building. Today, after six building programs, our

church address is still at 2110 Trawick Road. Six men have served as pastor since we were organized in 1948: Herman Wooten, Herman Hersey, Billy Walker, Bob Woodard, Dr. Randy Cox, and our present pastor, Tim Rabon. God has continued to bless our church throughout its history as we seek to glorify Him. Our mission is for people to connect, grow, serve, and go as they seek to fulfill God's purpose for their life.

We want to keep you in the loop about services tomorrow. We need your help to spread the word about our church service plans for tomorrow!

First thing in the morning, our parking lot will be cleared and we will evaluate conditions after that. Based on how things look, we will decide whether we can hold an afternoon in person service or live stream only service.

You can expect a final update from us by 9:00 AM with our plan.
