As Father’s Day weekend approaches, we’re thankful for the incredible men God has placed in our church family.

Friendship Baptist Church is blessed with faithful dads, loving granddads, devoted husbands, spiritual fathers, Sunday School teachers, ministry leaders, and servant-hearted men who quietly point others to Christ through their example.

Their influence reaches far beyond their own homes and touches countless lives throughout our church.

This weekend, we celebrate and thank the men who lead, serve, encourage, pray, teach, and faithfully follow the Lord.

Your impact matters more than you know.

Happy Father’s Day to the men of Friendship Baptist Church!

We thank God for you.

⛺🙏 Today is the final full day of camp for our Friendship Kids and Teens!

As they enjoy one last day of preaching, activities, and time with friends, please continue praying that God would do a lasting work in their hearts.

Pray that the truths they have heard from God's Word would take deep root and that they would return home eager to follow Christ and continue growing in their faith.

"But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of..." — 2 Timothy 3:14

Let's pray that camp won't be the finish line, but a stepping stone in a lifelong walk with the Lord.

📣 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐠 📣 Summer plans, family activities, and busy schedules aren't necessarily bad things—but they can slowly pull our attention away from what matters most.

That's why Pastor Vradenburgh challenged us not to "take a vacation from God." And a few weeks before that, Pastor Kris Wilder encouraged us to guard against spiritual drift during these summer months.

In a new FBC blog, “𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐖𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐭: 𝐀 𝐆𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐥 𝐓𝐮𝐧𝐞-𝐔𝐩,” Pastor Kris points us to Hebrews 2:1 and the need to continually tune our hearts to the gospel. It's a timely reminder to 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩 no matter what season we're in.

About a year and a half ago, Pastor Kris Wilder received a guitar. As he began learning to play, he quickly discovered something: if he didn’t regularly tune it, it would drift out of tune. In the same way, Hebrews 2:1 warns us that our hearts drift away from the gospel through neglect.

Last year Pastor D mentioned the blessings and benefits of listening to a newer podcast series hosted by "Big Bob" Roberts (the JBC speaker for our Kids this week) from the Wilds.

"Dead Man Talking is a raw podcast focused on Bob Roberts, a man facing stage four cancer with honesty and humor. In this podcast, Bob invites longtime college friends Jason Janz, Will Galkin, Ellis Murphree, and Josh Darnell to discuss cancer, suffering, death, hope, and faith in an unfiltered dialogue that embraces life's unpredictability.

The show is a heartfelt exploration of personal struggles and enduring friendships, where hard truths meet genuine laughter. Bob and his friends share their journeys and reflections on what it means to live fully in the face of mortality. This podcast does not offer neat solutions; it instead presents a love letter to life and friendship, inviting listeners to find hope and grace even in the midst of hardship."
