Earlier this month, 15 Friendship couples spent a refreshing weekend away at The Wilds Couples' Conference in Brevard, NC.

Pastor Brian Peterson (Lebanon Baptist Church in Roswell, GA), took the group on a "Marriage Road Trip: Navigating the Twists and Turns of Married Life," examining biblical change, forgiveness, and what a Gospel-focused marriage looks like.

The Friendship group also enjoyed intergenerational fellowship, games, hiking, zip lining, and beautiful mountain scenery.

Happy Middle-of-October!
It's not too early to begin planning for next summer, so we wanted to highlight a couple major events on our 2027 calendar. More information will be sent as the events get closer, but we figured blocking off these dates might be helpful.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐃𝐒 - 𝐉𝐔𝐍𝐄 𝟐𝟏-𝟐𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕
This is the highlight of our summer as we spend a week at The Wilds Christian Camp in Brevard, NC. More details and reminders will be coming in January, but registration is open on the Wilds website! You save $30 by registering before February 1. Registering requires just a $50 deposit. Full balance due in June.

Any current 10th-12th graders interested in applying for CIT (Campers in Training) must do so by January 31. Let Pastor Kris know if you have an interest or any questions!

𝐕𝐁𝐒 - 𝐉𝐔𝐋𝐘 𝟏𝟗-𝟐𝟑, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕
Join us for Vacation Bible School on weeknights for kids ages 4 through 6th grade! At 𝐒𝐩𝐲 𝐔: 𝐔𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐢𝐭𝐬, 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐝, kids will embark on an exciting investigation to uncover what is false, discover what is true, and learn to recognize and trust the one true God.

Incoming 7th & 8th graders can participate in our Leaders in Training (LIT) program, while High Schoolers can serve in various areas. Save the date!

There will be no services or activities on campus this evening (9/23). We look forward to gathering together again this coming Sunday.

Please pray for our FCS Faculty & Staff as they attend educational workshops and services the rest of this week. Pray they will be encouraged, challenged, and strengthened through the teaching of God’s Word.

See You at the Pole student-led prayer gatherings are happening at schools across the globe today. While FCS is on fall break, you can still take time to pray for our school, students, staff, and nation.

This year’s SYATP theme is Come to Me, based on Jesus’s words in Matthew 11:28: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Below are ways you can join praying students across the globe today:

🔹Pray for students to know true rest for their souls through salvation in Jesus Christ.
🔹Pray for the burdens of FCS families, whether it’s relational, spiritual, or physical.
🔹Pray for God’s grace to permeate every classroom and interaction.
🔹Pray for teachers’ wisdom, strength, patience, and protection as they guide students.
🔹Pray for our school administration as they lead, humbly seeking God’s direction and wisdom.
🔹Pray for our student leaders’ boldness and courage.
🔹Pray for physical safety and a positive school atmosphere.
🔹Pray for students facing persecution or severe hardships while trying to attend school and practice their faith internationally.
🔹Give thanks for the freedom of Christian education in the USA.

Twenty-five years after September 11, 2001, we remember where we were, the lives lost, the heroes who responded, and the church doors that opened—but have we forgotten what that day revealed about our broken world and our need for God?

As we reflect this year, may we also remember that no human effort can create lasting peace; our hope is found in Jesus Christ alone, the Victor over sin, death, and the grave.
