Our sincere thanks to trucks 14 and 15 of the Raleigh Fire Department. When I got to church this morning, I discovered our pilot light went out in the kitchen over the weekend, and there was a strong smell of gas throughout our building. Their team responded immediately by sweeping our church building, keeping us all safe, and giving us an all clear to worship safely. Thankfully, we were never in any danger - the levels were not threatening - but it’s a good reminder not to take chances. If something feels off, always investigate. I’m also happy to report that we made it back into the sanctuary where we held a meaningful service to ordain and install new deacons. We are grateful today for grace, safety, and good neighbors!
