All are welcome to come to our Block Party next Saturday, September 12th from noon to three pm. There will be music and this year we have added a Zumba teacher. We have a face painter, crafts for the children or the young at heart and so much more. Come, eat, dance, and just enjoy each other.

Each week we continue to provide groceries for 200 plus families. Stating next week and rhe first Saturday of each month we will have a children's music program for the children of the our pantry guests. This is a wonderful addition to our Saturday mornings-

Yesterday was the great reveal of the project of DownCity Design at St. Peter’s & St. Andrew’s. We are so thankful for their work that has brought life and light to our pantry. Each week we open our doors to give groceries to 200 families. These new banners represent our community where all are welcomed. Thank to DownCity Design you help us to make a difference, together we are hope.

We are thankful to the Rhode Island Food Bank that continues to deliver groceries that enable us to be a Food Pantry for the neighbor, and to our many partners and volunteers that make all of this possible. Every food pantry is a visible sign of what it means to be community, caring for each other. Each of us are the mustard seeds of today, planting seeds of hope.

This week we read that the disciples watched as Jesus disappeared and they were left waiting-wondering, what will be next-so much of our lives we are in that same place, waiting and wondering what will be next, for the disciple it was the fulfillment of the promise - The coming of the Holy Spirit, it is the same for us, In our waiting the Holy Spirit comes.

Special prayers for all women as we celebrate "Mother's Day" this week.
We pray for our own mothers who have nurtured and cared for us.

We pray for women who are not mothers but still love and shape us with motherly care and compassion.

We remember mothers. grandmothers, & great-grandmothers who are no longer with us, but who live forever in our memory.

Amen.

Each week we serve 200 families groceries. This number grows as price in gas continues to climb as well as the price of groceries. Please keep our families in your prayers. We are so thankful for all of our parishioners, volunteers, partners and donors who help make this ministry possible. There is so much need and there is also so many people that step up to help their neighbors.

God we trust you and we put our confidence in you. As we look out at this world so full of conflict and disruption, violence and chaos, let us be rooted in you and let the waters of your peace flow out to all who are experiencing conflict.

Week after week we are able to give groceries to 200 families and sometime more. We do this through the generosity of numerous people, the help of the Rhode Island Food Bank and our committed volunteers, We thankful to all who make this ministry possible.
