Before we can ask, “What is God calling me to do?” we must first hear Him say, “You are loved.” Every vocation begins with discovering our identity as beloved sons and daughters of God.

In the latest episode of the SJSPodcast, Fr. Stanislaus Achu sits down with Bishop Bruce Lewandowski, C.Ss.R., Bishop of Diocese of Providence, to explore the heart of Catholic preaching and its mission to lead people into a deeper friendship with Christ.

Whether someone is encountering the Lord for the first time, returning after time away, or continuing to grow in faith, the preached Word has the power to meet them where they are.

At the same time, this conversation reflects on what authentic preaching looks like in a rapidly changing world. While new tools and technologies can assist, Bishop Lewandowski emphasizes the irreplaceable role of human creativity, charism, and the work of the Holy Spirit.

Congratulations!

We give thanks to God for Deacon Nicholas’ generous “yes” to the call to serve Christ and His Church. As he continues his journey toward the priesthood, we ask the faithful to keep him in prayer.

Please also continue to pray for all of our seminarians and for an increase in vocations to the priesthood throughout the Diocese of Providence. May the Lord continue to raise up faithful and courageous shepherds for His people.
