This weekend the seminarians from the Diocese of Providence gathered at the Portsmouth Abbey for a time of prayer and fraternity before leaving for their respective seminaries to begin the year. Bishop Lewandowski joined the men for Mass and a discussion on Friday afternoon. The talks for this years retreat were given by Fr. Christopher Murphy.

This past weekend we held our Quo Vadis Camp at the URI Catholic Center for 13 young men discerning the priesthood. We thank Bishop Lewandowski, Fr. Patrick Ryan, Adam Habershaw, and Keith and Lisa Kline for their excellent talks. Many thanks to the Serra Club of RI for their help making this weekend a reality as well. Please pray the Lord raises up more holy priests for our Diocese!

Join us at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 23 in Our Lady of Grace Church for a special reflection on a document of the Second Vatican Council presented by Seminarian David DelBonis as he concludes his summer service with OLG and SRB and prepares to begin his studies in theology at St. John's Seminary in Brighton, Massachusetts. Immediately following David's presentation, we will gather in the church hall for a light reception honoring and giving thanks for David and his "yes" to the Lord. All are welcome!

This summer, these Perpetual Pilgrims are accompanying Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament across the country, praying, serving, and inviting others into a deeper encounter with Christ.

From seminarians and missionaries to youth ministers, students, musicians, and parish leaders, each pilgrim carries a story of faith and a desire to share the love of Jesus in the Eucharist.

As the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage arrives in the Diocese of Providence June 30 – July 2, we invite you to join them for Masses, Eucharistic Processions, and moments of prayer throughout Rhode Island.
