Rosary Confraternity - Providence

Rosary Confraternity - Providence The Confraternity of the Rosary is a spiritual benefit society founded by St. Dominic, renewed by Bl. The deceased cannot be enrolled in the Confraternity.

Alan de la Roche, and promoted by many saints and popes for the purpose of spreading devotion to Our Lady through the Holy Rosary. The Confraternity encourages men and women to grow in holiness by praying and meditating upon the life of Our Lord viewed through the eyes of Mary, and grants many graces and privileges to those who pray the full traditional Rosary (15 decades) weekly. The obligation t

o pray the Rosary weekly does not bind under pain of sin, but as Pope Leo XIII said in his encyclical on the Confraternity, "whenever a person fulfills his obligation of reciting the Rosary according to the rule of the Confraternity, he includes in his intentions all its members, and they in turn render him the same service many times over." Each member includes deceased fellow members in their prayers as well; and thus he knows that in turn he will be included in the prayers of hundreds of thousands both now and hereafter. This led the Cure of Ars to say: "If anyone has the happiness of being in the Confraternity of the Rosary, he has in all corners of the world brothers and sisters who pray for him." Did you know there is a profound spiritual connection between the apparitions at Fatima and the revelations given to St. Faustina? Both of these powerful messages from Heaven share striking visions of a destroying angel, reminding us of God's perfect balance of justice and mercy. 🕊️✨

On July 13, 1917, Sister Lucia of Fatima saw a terrifying vision of an Angel holding a flaming sword in his left hand. The sword flashed and gave out fierce flames that looked as though they would set the entire world on fire. Yet, these flames died out the moment they met the radiant splendor coming from Our Lady's right hand. Pointing to the earth, the Angel cried out with a loud voice, "Penance, Penance, Penance!" This was a vivid warning of divine judgment. ✝️

Years later, on September 13, 1935, St. Faustina Kowalska experienced a similar vision. She beheld an angel clothed in a dazzling robe, his face gloriously bright, with a cloud beneath his feet. From this cloud, bolts of thunder and flashes of lightning sprang into his hands and then struck the earth. Recognizing this as a sign of divine wrath, St. Faustina began pleading with God to hold off the punishment.

It was during this vision that she beheld the unimaginable majesty of the Most Holy Trinity and felt the power of Jesus' grace in her soul. In her helplessness to stop the angel, she was interiorly taught the words to the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, offering the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ in atonement for the sins of the world. ✝️🤍

These two incredible visions beautifully complement one another. While Our Lady of Fatima came to warn the world of the fiery judgment due to sin and plead for penance, Our Lord appeared to St. Faustina to offer His infinite mercy as our ultimate refuge. As Jesus revealed, before the Day of Justice, He is sending the Day of Mercy.

Heaven is calling us to deep conversion, sincere penance, and absolute trust in the unfathomable mercy of God. 🙏

Prayer to Our Lady of Fatima for Peace

O Blessed Virgin Mary, Our Lady of Fatima,
In your gentle embrace, we seek refuge and solace.
You appeared to the shepherd children,
Bringing a message of hope and peace to the world.
We turn to you now, with hearts full of faith,
Asking for your intercession for peace,
Especially in the troubled lands of the Middle East.

O Mother of Peace,
Guide the leaders of nations to seek understanding and compassion,
And inspire all people to embrace dialogue over discord.
May your loving presence soften hearts hardened by conflict,
And may your grace lead us toward reconciliation and unity.

We hold the Holy Rosary in our hands,
A powerful weapon against strife and division.
With each bead, we meditate on the mysteries of your Son,
And we ask for the strength to be instruments of His peace.
May the prayers of the Rosary echo in our hearts,
Uniting us in love and hope for a brighter tomorrow.

Our Lady of Fatima,
We entrust our prayers to you,
That the light of your Son may shine upon all nations,
And that peace may reign in every heart.
Help us to be faithful witnesses of your message,
Spreading love, compassion, and understanding wherever we go.

Amen.

Mary’s first appearance in Fatima was in the month of May, which was fitting, since it is a month traditionally dedicated to Marian devotion. Her final appearance in the month of October, the month specifically devoted to the Rosary, was also quite fitting, especially when we consider the importance of the Rosary in the message of Fatima. According to testimonies from Lucia (who would go on to become a Carmelite nun known as Sister Lucia), Our Lady asked that the faithful pray the Rosary each day.

The Rosary, with its repetition of the Hail Mary while meditating on the life of Christ, is a simple yet efficacious way of pondering the mysteries of our salvation. By reflecting on Christ’s Incarnation and early ministry, as well as his Suffering, Death, and Resurrection, we are drawn deeper into the love of God, who came to save us in such a marvelous way. Through our meditation upon these mysteries with the Mother of God, we come to see her as the perfect model for Christian living.

The praying of the Rosary has been a staple of Catholic life for centuries. The apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima brought this devotion into a new light. This will help us to grow in our love for Jesus. And we will find in Mary a mother who is ready to bring to him all of our cares.

Let us always remember to include in our prayers the intentions of our Holy Father Pope Leo XIV.

Heavenly Father,

With grateful hearts, we lift up Pope Leo XIV to You as we celebrate the first anniversary of his election as the Successor of Saint Peter. Thank You for his humble service, his faith, and his loving care for the Church. Continue to fill him with wisdom, courage, peace, and compassion as he guides Your people closer to Christ.

Strengthen him in moments of burden, comfort him in times of weariness, and protect him from all harm. May the Holy Spirit enlighten his mind and heart so that he may always lead with truth, mercy, and holiness.

Lord, unite the whole Church in prayer and love for our Holy Father. May his life inspire us to remain faithful, hopeful, and joyful disciples of Jesus.

We entrust Pope Leo XIV to the loving care of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church. May she watch over him always and lead him safely in his mission.

Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Supplication to Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of Pompeii (to be prayed on the 8th of May)

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

I.
O august Queen of victories, Virgin who reignest in paradise, whose mighty name causes Heaven to rejoice and hell to tremble, O glorious Queen of the most holy Rosary, we, thy happy children chosen by thy goodness in this century to build thee a temple at Pompeii, kneeling at thy feet on this solemn day to commemorate thy latest triumphs on the spot where idols and demons were formerly worshipped, we pour out with tears the feelings of our hearts and with a filial confidence lay before thee our miseries.

From that throne of mercy where thou sittest as Queen, O Mary, turn down thy pitiful eyes on us, on our families, on Italy, on Europe, and the whole Church; take into pity the afflictions which overwhelm us and the cares which embitter our life. Thou seest, O Mother, how many dangers of soul and body, how many calamities and afflictions press upon us.

O Mother, keep back the arm of justice of thy indignant Son, and conquer by thy mercy the hearts of sinners, since they are our brethren and thy children, redeemed through the blood of our sweet Jesus and through the wounds of thy most tender heart pierced with the sword. Show thyself to all in this day, as thou art, the Queen of peace and mercy.

Hail Mary…

II.
It is but too true that we, although thy children, are the first who crucify Jesus in our hearts and wound anew thy heart by our sins. We confess it, we deserve the severest chastisements; yet remember how thou didst receive, on the top of Golgotha, the last drops of that Divine blood, and the testament of our dying Redeemer. And this testament of a God, sealed with the blood of a Man-God, appointed thee our Mother, the Mother of sinners. Thus, as our Mother, thou art our Advocate and our Hope. To thee, amidst sighs, do we lift up our hands, crying for mercy!

Have pity, good mother, have pity on us, on our souls, on our families, on our relations, on our friends, on our departed brethren, above all, on our enemies, and on so many who claim the name of Christians, yet wound the loving heart of thy Son. Pity, O Mother, we now implore thee for pity on the erring nations, on all Europe, on the whole world, that they may repair repentant to thy heart. Be merciful to all, O Mother of mercy.

Hail Mary…

III.
What does it cost thee, O Mary, to hear us? What does it cost thee to save us? Did not Jesus entrust to thy hands all the treasures of His graces and mercies? Thou sittest as Queen at the right hand of thy Son, crowned with immortal glory, above all the choirs of angels. Thou extendest thy dominion as far as the heavens expand, the earth and all the creatures that people it are subject to thee. Thy power even reaches hell; and thou alone, O Mary, canst rescue us from the devil’s grasp. Thou art almighty by grace, and therefore thou canst save us. Now if you sayest thou wilIest not help us because we are ungrateful children and unworthy of thy protection, tell us at least to whom shall we have recourse in order to be released from so many evils? Oh! No, thy maternal heart will never bear to see the ruin of thy children. The Divine Child we behold on thy knees, the mystical crown we admire in thy hand, both inspire us with hope that we will be heard. And full of confidence in thee, we throw ourselves at thy feet, we trust ourselves as feeble children into the arms of the tenderest amongst mothers and today, this very day, we expect from thee the graces we are longing for.

Hail Mary…

Let us ask Mary for her blessing.

We now ask of thee, O Queen, a last favour which thou canst not refuse on this solemn day. Grant to all of us thy constant love and in a special manner thy maternal blessing. No, we will not leave thy feet today nor cease clasping thy knees till thou hast blessed us. Bless now, O Mary, the sovereign Pontiff: to the first laurels of thy crown, to the ancient trophies of the Rosary, whence thou art called Queen of victories, add also this one, O Mother, grant triumph to religion and peace to mankind. Bless our bishop, the priests and particularly those who promote the honour of thy Sanctuary; bless finally all those who are associated to thy new temple of Pompeii and who practice and spread devotion to thy most holy rosary.

O blessed rosary of Mary, sweet chain which unites us to God, bond of love, which connects us with the angels, tower of safety against the assaults of hell, sure harbour in the universal shipwreck, never more shall we part with thee; thou shall be our comfort in the hour of agony: to thee the last kiss of our life; and the last word of our dying lips shall be thy sweet name, O Queen of the Rosary of Valle di Pompei. Mother dear, only refuge of sinners, supreme comforter of the afflicted, blessed be thy name, now and forever, on earth and in heaven. Amen.

Hail Holy Queen…
