I’m sure you’ve all noticed a new face in the back with our kids. We’d love for you to meet Kristin, our new Children’s Ministry Director!
Kristin and her husband, Ryan, have been together for 14 years and married for 12. She grew up in Las Vegas, where she met an Air Force man who told her all about the beautiful town in Missouri he called home. They knew they wanted to move back to Missouri to be near his family and raise their own family here. Together they have two beautiful daughters, Grace (7) and Macyn (3), along with two beloved puppies, Daisy (11) and Bailey (7 months).
In her free time, Kristin loves playing, dancing, and singing with her girls. As a family, they enjoy reading, watching movies, playing board games, crafting, traveling, and trying new restaurants—especially since Ryan is a foodie.
What Kristin loves most about serving in this new role is the opportunity to teach children about the most important relationship they will ever have—their relationship with Jesus Christ.
“I feel like God called me to this position for a reason, and children are our future. I feel so blessed to be able to teach and guide them. My desire is to help them build a firm foundation in Christ, strengthen their relationship with Him, and encourage them as they grow in their faith.”
Kristin says she loves FBC because Jesus is the focus, and you can truly feel God’s presence here. She also loves that our church is one big family and how welcoming everyone has been.
The one thing she hopes every child learns from her is the importance of having a personal relationship with Jesus. She wants them to understand that following Christ is about more than simply reading Scripture—it’s about applying God’s Word to their lives each day and truly having Jesus in their hearts.
Her favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11 because it reminds her that God has a plan and purpose for every life. He never abandons us, we are never alone, and we can trust His guidance because His way is always best.
We are so excited to have Kristin serving at FBC and can’t wait to see how God continues to use her to impact the lives of the children and families in our church. Please join us in welcoming Kristin to our Children’s Ministry!
