We concluded our retreat on Saturday but we were all still hungering for more! SO NEW DATE FOR THE NEXT RETREAT IS: FEB. 8, 9, AND 10TH 2024.

This book, "The Fulfillment of all Desire" by Ralph Martin is a jewel. It covers the wisdom of the saints and how to apply it into your own life. There is so much richness in the book. We have lots of time on our own reading a chapter, reflecting, making notes to the questions in Ralph Martin's study guide available made just to accompany this book, praying and then gathering together for group discussion. The group discussion is so rewarding and fulfilling. I feel so blessed by being part of it and by the sharing of wisdom of those that attended. If you would like to join us, you have time to order your book and study guide from www.renewal ministries.net. There is no charge for the retreat other than a free-will offering. All food, linen, towels, etc. are furnished. So far, everyone has had their own room. I hope you can join us!

We held this retreat last year. We only got through the first three chapters. So, it was a unanimous declaration to offer it again. This book is packed with lots of good stuff!
The retreat will start on Thursday, Nov. 9th and run through Saturday Nov. 11th, 2023. We will start Thursday morning at 9:00a.m. and conclude on Saturday probably after dinner sometime. You are welcome to come Wednesday night if you like. Friday evening, we will pray the rosary and prayers of intention and if all goes well, we hope to follow that with Holy Mass. Although the retreat will officially end on Sat. evening after supper, you are welcome to stay over Sat night if you would like to. You can join us on Sunday for Mass at St. James parish church and head out from there. We may possibly go out to eat at an area restaurant after Mass. You would be welcome to join us if you like. With the exception of this restaurant meal, all other meals will be provided. If interested in attending, please let me know so I can reserve you a bed. There will be group discussions, quiet time for reading and reflecting, as well as personal time to spend in prayer, walking the stations of the cross trail, kayaking or just resting. Men and women, couples or singles are welcome. If coming alone, you may have to share with one other person depending on number attending. There is no set price for the retreat. We ask if your able, to leave a good will offering to support our ministry.
You will need to have a copy of Ralph Martin's book: “The Fulfillment of all Desire” and the Study Guide as well. Of course, you will also want to bring a notebook and pen. If you have not read this book, you are missing a treasure.

About the book: Drawing upon the teaching of seven Spiritual Doctors of the Church, Ralph Martin presents an in-depth study of the journey to God. This book provides encouragement and direction for the pilgrim who desires to know, love, and serve our Lord. Here's what people are saying about this modern classic on the spiritual life:
• “An inspiring work brimming with insight and practical help for people at every stage of the spiritual journey.” Fr. Peter Ryan, S.J.
• “I am deeply moved by this work...an extraordinary gift to the Church.” Fr. John Horn, S.J.
• “This is a book to keep at your place of prayer for years to come...reading and rereading will be a source of powerful inspiration for all those on the spiritual journey.” Fr. Benedict Groeschel, C.F.R.

If you need to purchase the book and/or the study guide you can buy it directly from Ralph Martin's website: Fulfillment of All Desire /Renewal Ministries. If you don't want to purchase the book, I did get permission to print the pages we will be studying and can have those for you. But I will need to know in advance to have that ready for you.
If you would like to attend, please either text 636-234-6680 or email: [email protected]

We bought a 5 ft tall concrete statue of the Sacred Heart to look over Clarity House of Retreat. Wow...is it ever heavy!...

We bought a 5 ft tall concrete statue of the Sacred Heart to look over Clarity House of Retreat. Wow...is it ever heavy! In some amazing grace filled way my husband and I managed to get it off the truck with the only mishap being a bent tailgate. But there the statue lay on the ground for a week while we tried to formulate a plan on how to get it up the hill standing on the prepared stones. Toot-too=ta=toot...that is a trumpet sound, in case you couldn't tell! Seminarians to the rescue! The seminarians happened to be on retreat at Clarity this past weekend and a whole bunch of those strapping, strong men handled this without anyone or anything getting hurt! Praise God for these men... many times over!!

This Friday we will pray the rosary at 6:00 pm and then have Mass at 7:00. We end the evening with refreshments and fellowship! Join us if you can!!

As I sat in Mass yesterday morning, our small church had three first communicants, receiving Our Lord for the first time. I was so touched with emotion. I thought back to my own First Communion as a child. I thought of how much the specialness of the occasion had totally escaped me then. As I sat and pondered how blessed I am to have the opportunity to receive the Lord everyday if I want to. How unworthy I am and have been. Yet, our Dear Lord keeps showing up, keeps loving me, and continually is present in the Blessed Sacrament. How could I be unmoved? How could I not weep at the grace bestowed on me time and time again? I pray for those three little girls that received Him for the first time. I pray that their hearts will be forever changed. I pray for their families, that just observing this special day will also change them. I pray for their teachers that helped prepare them for this incredible Sacrament. I pray for our priest that he may continue to teach and coach all of us into a better awareness of how truly blessed we are. I pray for all those that receive Him with indifference that their eyes and heart are opened to the grace before them. I pray for all those that don't bother to make an effort to attend this Holy Mass and open their hearts and minds to The Lord and all He offers us. I am so, so, very blessed. I love You Lord! Help me love you more!
