The Southern Vicariate, Director of Social Outreach, would like to invite the parishes of St. James in Potosi, St. Joachim in Old Mines, and St. Stephen in Richwoods to join us for an evening of community, fellowship, and Halloween fun at the Potosi Halloween Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 31!

We will meet at 5:30 p.m. to begin setting up.

An update will been sent to our exact location, and we will share those details as we get closer to the event.

We will be decorating one designated parking area, so everyone is asked to park at the courthouse and walk across the street to our setup location.

Everyone is encouraged to bring as much candy as you can so we can help make this a great evening for the children and families coming through. If you have Halloween decorations or inflatable blow-ups, bring those too! We will have access to electricity nearby.

After Trunk or Treat, we will gather at St. James Parish Hall and the outdoor pavilion for adult fellowship and festivities (BYO-Beverages). This is a simple opportunity for our parishes to come together, be present in the community, and share a little joy with our neighbors. Sometimes outreach begins with simply showing up together.

Living in the Father’s Love
Fall Women’s Bible Study

We will be offering a fall bible study for women on Wednesday (St. Joachim) starting Sept. 23 & Friday mornings (St. James;every other week) starting Sept 18. It is called Living in the Father’s Love. In a world where women are measured by their beauty, achievements, and possessions, wouldn’t it be nice to find a place where you could just be valued for who you are? Living in the Father’s Love will lead you to that safe place where you are unconditionally loved, baggage and all.
This brief but powerful Bible study is the ideal way to revive and refresh yourself. Discover just how much God loves us and how the gospels are deeply relevant to our relationship with God and with those we love.
