The Garuna Foundation's Primary Mission Emphases: Focus on SE Asia
1. Biblical Leadership Training
Training indigenous pastors, deaconesses and lay leaders for national congregations through the efforts of the non-residential Luther Institute - Southeast Asia (LISA) Bible training curriculum.
2. Indigenous National Church Support
Assisting the national Church bodies as they plant new congreg
ations and reach out with the gospel in their own and in neighboring countries.
3. Ministry to Children: Garuna Christian Schools
The Garuna Kids and Garuna Christian Schools are a ministry to children in Cambodia, currently serving over 1000 children (grades K-6) in 6 locations. An additional 3 schools are in varying stages of completion/construction/planning in this GCS system. The students are called "Garuna Kids" and are supported through a child sponsorship ministry.
4. Other Outreach Projects
A number of other projects are funded in an effort to reach out to the local communities and in support of the indigenous local congregations. These activities are tied to the Garuna Christian Schools or the national church bodies and include projects such as Bible/English ministries, Music/Gospel Ministries, Sports Ministry, Rice Banks, and disaster relief.
