August 23, 2026 - Habakkuk 3:16-19

People can fiercely loyal - things, brands, sports teams, friends; it doesn't matter. But our loyalty has limits. As soon as something fails to meet our expecations, we're out. And we do it with God too. But God is not like us. Despite our unfaithfulness to him, God remains faithful to us - and he always will.

August 16, 2026 - Joshua 2:1-7

Doing what is good and right under normal circumstances can be hard. But what about when there's risk? When doing what God says is good could put me in harm's way? But we don't need to afraid to do what is good, becuase our good God promises to be good to us no matter what.

August 9, 2026 - Titus 3:1-7

It's pretty jarring when you think about just how unkind people can be. And are - especially toward those who think differently, act differently, and live differently. We're selective with who we show kindness too. But thank the Lord is not. In kindness, he sent his Son to forgive the sins of the world, and that includes our unkindness too!

August 2, 2026 - Luke 13:6-9

Patience is a virtue. We all know that expression. But to God, patience is also a fruit - part of our daily life as Christians. But we're not too patient, losing our cool and growing impatient far too quickly. Praise God that he is not like us. His patience with impatient sinners is remarkable, and he continues to stick with us by his grace.

July 26, 2026 - Philippians 4:4-7

People are more anxious than ever. And when anxiety comes, we have to deal with somehow. There are good ways, unhealthy ways, and downright sinful ways. And we'll try just about anything to regain a sense of peace. But real peace can't be found apart from Christ - and praise God that we have real peace that lasts in him.

July 19, 2026 - James 1:2-12

Joy is one of our favorite feelings. We spend so much of our time finding things to fill us with more joy. But when life is hard and bad times come, joy can be hard to come by. Yet James tells us we can consider those moments to be pure joy. How? The joy James is talking about runs deeper than emotions. It lives within us and is connected to Christ, and that means joy is ours even when we don't feel joyful.

July 12, 2026 - John 13:31-35

Today we begin a new series focused on the different fruits of faith that are listed in Scripture. The first of these fruits is love. We love love. But do we show love? The best answer might be "it depends." But not so with God. His love is for all - and it's from his love that our love flows.

July 5, 2026 - 1 Kings 18:1-15

As we celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States of America, Christians are reminded that we bear dual citizenship - we are citizens of our nation and citizens of the kingdom of God. But it's not always easy to balance what looks like. In 1 Kings 18, Obadiah shows us a stellar example, as he carries out his duties with the knoweldge and joy that his King above all is God.

June 28, 2026 - Exodus 32:15-29

The godlen calf was a threat to the Chuch of God. So the Lord took trastic action to eliminate it and those leading the people of Israel astray. That's how God treats threats to his Church, whether they come from outside of it or inside of it. Becuase this is his Church. These are his people. And God promises to protect and preserve his Church.

June 21, 2026 - 2 Timothy 4:1-8

We all know how hard it can be to not give in when a craving comes. When we get the 'itch' we've got to scratch it! But that's exactly what Paul warns Timothy and the Church of God against when it comes to the preaching of the Word. Don't scratch whatever it comes to mind, instead preach the Word! Preach all of it! Because that alone gives us peace as we center on Christ.
