Bema Investments

Bema Investments BEMA Investments Inc. is a charitable nonprofit corporation which focuses on investing Judeo-Christian ethics in our local & worldwide communities.

Mark and Shannon Spencer founded Bema Investments to facilitate their efforts in meeting real and spiritual needs from a Judeo-Christians worldview. Mark Spencer has lived in Phoenix Arizona since 1975, graduated with honors with a finance degree from Northern Arizona University in 1985, met his wife Shannon in 1986 on a Summer Project with Campus Crusade for Christ in Bangkok, Thailand, and was t

he top overall police recruit from the Phoenix Regional Police Academy in 1987. In 1993 Mark completed his graduate degree in exegetical theology from Western Conservative Baptist Seminary, was a licensed lay pastor at Scottsdale Bible Church and was the teaching pastor at Cave Creek Bible Church for three years until August 2015. As the president of the Phoenix Law Enforcement Association (PLEA) from 2007 until 2011, the PLEA board of trustees and Mark represented over 2,300 rank-and-file Phoenix Police Officers and Detectives. Mark has been interviewed by international (CNN) and national (Fox National News) cable news outlets, has been quoted in numerous print publications (The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Nation, The Arizona Republic, Phoenix Magazine) and has participated on radio talk shows across the country: topics discussed included illegal immigration, police suicide, border violence, and police management pension violations. He has partnered with F.A.I.R. (Federation for American Immigration Reform) and Judicial Watch in reference to front-line law enforcement perspectives on illegal immigration and government corruption. In July 2009, the Arizona Republic reported that Mark, in “his first two years as union president…earned…a reputation as a harsh critic of police management and a relentless advocate for Phoenix patrol officers.” His role as the voice of the largest police association in Arizona garnered him the title as one of the “three of the most polarizing figures in Arizona politics” by the left-leaning Phoenix New Times in 2011. His retirement from the Phoenix Police Department in January 2012 ended a 25 year career in which Mark and the PLEA team cultivated powerful community partnerships and facilitated unprecedented bipartisan support for rights of Arizona law enforcement. Most importantly, during this quarter of a century, Mark saw God change the lives of thousands by means of his professional police platform. By practically applying grace oriented biblical principles with successful real-world strategies, Mark is able to provide a unique but practical perspective which encourages all Believers to be “useful to the Master.” Mark is an active member of the Free Grace Alliance (www.freegracealliance.com) and is the author of A Moment In Time published in 2012 by Westbow Press. Shannon Spencer graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1988 with a degree in education. She obtained her graduate degree with honors from Northern Arizona University in 1994. Her ministry experience has brought her to Thailand, the Soviet Union, and East Africa.

It's not faith that saves, it's Christ. Faith is the means. Christ is the object. The reason is eternal life. A little faith (Mark 9:24) in the right object solves the problem. "Pascal's Wager" paid off for Mr. Adams (Luke 23:42-43). Faith alone in Christ alone for eternal life. Life has now just begun in the presence of the Lion of Judah, the Son of God, the Prince of Peace. the Jewish Carpenter - Jesus, the Christ. In the historical accounts found in the New Testament, the Jewish carpenter was quoted as saying, "I came that they might have life and have it abundantly." It was also recorded that He said, "Truly, he who believes in Me has eternal life." John commented that "...whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life." Forgiveness is a good thing. Eternal life is a good thing. But forgiveness and eternal life are NOT the same thing.

Mr. Graham's comments on a national level fail to quote Scripture, don't address the issue of eternal life, rely upon non-biblical patterns (pray a prayer) and terms (invite Jesus into your heart). The historical account about Christ's death and resurrection Mr. Graham shares are accurate, but to include the necessary conduct issue of "following Him as my Lord" is contrary to Paul's view of works being unnecessary to acquire the free gift of eternal life.

Eternal life is to know the one true God. The biblical means is faith alone. The biblical object is Christ alone. The biblical reason is for eternal life. For a spiritually dead person (NOT a person who is sick and tired of being sick and tired - their life a mess) to obtain the free gift of eternal life 1.) They must hear the Word (Rom. 10:17). 2.) The Spirit must convict. 3.) They must believe in Christ for eternal life. (Jn16:8-13)

It would seem that this outreach effort is well produced and easy to watch. Yet it seems to fail to meet the basic, simple, spiritual, biblical pattern of the 1st century evangelistic efforts of Christ and the Apostles. Missing the pattern by a little or a lot is missing the target. And the culture continues to circle in the drain...

https://youtu.be/0EYg8Tgrh0o Christopher Hitchens verifies that reality should mesh with logic and reason. Even a strident atheist, wholly committed to the materialstic faith-based religion of Darwinism, issues a warning about the control by secular government of ideas - especially when the control favors an agenda or faith-based worldview of particular religions. John Lennox, a brilliant mind based upon Judeo-Christian principles, acknowledges the "broken clock" syndrom in action. Truth is truth. Disagreement with Islam or any other faith-based worldview should not be criminalized.
