This week's Member Spotlight is Ilyse Kramer!

Ilyse shares, “It’s hard to pick just one reason I love Society Hill Synagogue! I love how Rabbi Nathan Kamesar and Hazzan Jessi Roemer give us such powerful ways to explore and express our Judaism, and I love building community and connecting with fellow congregants of all ages and backgrounds. One of my longtime favorite programs at Society Hill Synagogue is Friday night TGIShabbat services. The music is beautiful, and the D’var Torah always gives me interesting insights to reflect on. It’s my favorite way to start the weekend.”

We’re so lucky to have Ilyse as part of the Society Hill Synagogue community, and we’re grateful for all the ways she helps make our community such a warm and welcoming place.

Our very own Robin Schatz is in the spotlight! ✨ We’re so proud to have Robin as part of the Society Hill Synagogue community and grateful for all she does for Jewish Philadelphia. Check out this wonderful feature from the Jewish Exponent!

🏛️ Schatz, who belongs to Society Hill Synagogue, has worked for the federation for 22 years as its principal government affairs contact. Before she began in her position, JCRC didn’t have a government affairs role. This federation is also the only in the country with a full-time government relations staff member. https://www.jewishexponent.com/overbrook-parks-robin-schatz-leads-jewish-phillys-public-affairs
