On September 20, we celebrated our church’s 81st anniversary. It was such a joy to celebrate with so many who are part of our story, past and present! Thanks to all who contributed food for it, as well as those who helped plan the night, set up chairs and tables, and welcome everyone as we came together to rejoice in God’s grace to us all these years.
We ate together, sang together, shared testimonies, and heard stories from our foundational years that highlighted our missional start and encouraged us to keep an ongoing missional heart for our neighbors and the world.
Special thanks to...
* Laura Ruff, who coordinated the dinner
* Heidi Steiner, who captured some moments from the evening
* Paul Shive and the music team, who led us in some old hymns with new arrangements
* Woody Chipman, who served as our church historian and chief storyteller
* Paul Thorpe, who set up an outdoor sound system, ran the show in the booth, and recorded the program
Even compiling this list points to one of our main themes from the evening, that the Lord works through church members using their gifts to serve people for his glory and the spread of his gospel. Praise the Lord!
