OPAG Youth Ministries OPAG Youth Ministry is a ministry of Overland Park Assembly of God (OPAG) for youth 6th-12th grade We also really like to have fun together!

Youth Camp Families -

If your student is attending camp please try to have your student at youth group this coming Wednesday, June 10th 6:30-8pm.

We will spend the evening reviewing departure details, camp expectations, NEW rules being implemented by district for camp (Ex: baggage check at drop off), signing papers, and having a bit of fun prepping our camp goodie bags and bunk name tags.

Grown-ups are encouraged to stick around so none of the details get lost in translation.

One other thing, we will do a quick and discreet lice check on Wednesday. This will prevent any surprises on departure day and give families time to resolve any potential findings before camp, if any.

If you cannot make it on Wednesday there will be a follow-up email sent with all of the details.

Hello Students & Families -
As your student may have mentioned, last week we announced that Amber Matos & her husband have received a call from the Lord and they have answered! While these calls are not always easy to receive, we know there is nothing more rewarding and fulfilling than obedience to our Lord & Savior.

Please join us on Wednesday, May 20th from 6:30-8pm as we celebrate Amber and all of the love she has poured into the students and this ministry. Her impact on the lives of the students and all who have served by her side is immeasurable, and she will be truly missed by all of us.

In case you missed the important announcement in the bulletin regarding Wednesday night family dinner:

Wednesday night dinners have been paused for the summer. We will announce at a later date when we plan to resume the dinners.

Follow us on Facebook for future announcements. For even more up to date news, join us for Wednesday night classes for all ages 6:30-8pm or Sunday's @ 9:30am for sunday school & 10:30am for main service.

Join us this Sunday, May 3rd at 10:30am for a 🤫SURPRISE🤫 heartfelt service as we honor Pastor Dave and Connie Nord for 50 years of ordained ministry.

All are invited to celebrate this incredible milestone with the Nord family!

Cards, love offerings, and gifts are welcome, though your presence alone is a true blessing.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make our annual yard sale fundraiser a success - Funds raised help us to sent students to Youth Camp & Youth Convention!

We also had a group of students fundraising for Speed The Light - It was such a blessing to watch them pour their hearts into helping support the work done on the mission field. 🩷

Tonight 4/29 we will be volunteering at the Tiny Pantry & celebrating our April birthdays with sweet treats & games. See you at 6:30pm!

YARD SALE VOLUNTEERS & STUDENTS:

Details:
- Arrive @ 7AM & meet at the parsonage to begin setup

- Breakfast, lunch & drinks provided

- Yard Sale will run 8-3pm

-Starting at 3pm we will begin the cleanup by boxing items & bagging clothes.

Update:
- We will NOT be loading up & hauling away leftover items at the end of the sale. Instead, Blessings Abound will come pickup all leftovers at a later date.

Ask:
- We need cardboard boxes! In order for Blessings Abound to pick up our unsold items they have to be boxed and sealed.

Thanks so much for all the work that's been put into the yard sale so far, and for all that will be done tomorrow to make the event a success for the students & OPAG.

OPAG Youth 4/8/26 Recap -
OPAG Outreach Night: Serving our faith family & loving on God's house!

Announcements:
- Accepting donated items for the youth yard sale 4/15-4/22 6:30-8pm
- Volunteers (students & grown-ups) needed to sort & prep yard sale items on Wednesday 4/22
- All who are able should arrive Saturday 4/25 @ 7am for yard sale set up. We will need volunteers throughout the day & lunch is provided. At 3pm we will begin clean up & taking leftover items to donation.
