Sometimes we need to look back before we can move forward.

In Exodus 19, God reminds the Israelites of everything He has already done for them, “I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself.”

Before God tells them where they are going next, He reminds them how they got there.

The same can be true for us. When the road ahead feels uncertain, it can help to look back and remember the times God has carried us through before.

You didn't get this far alone.

Moses wasn't looking for a holy moment. He was simply going about his day when God got his attention through a burning bush.

“Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”

Exodus 3 reminds us that encounters with God aren't limited to churches, Sunday mornings, or the moments when we expect them.

Sometimes holy ground is right where we already are.

As you go through your day, pay attention. God may be closer than you think.

Sometimes faith means taking the next step before we know how everything is going to work out.

In Genesis 22, Abraham faces a moment he cannot possibly understand. Yet in the middle of uncertainty, he continues forward trusting that God will provide.

And God does.

We may not always see the answer ahead of us. We may not understand the road we are walking. But we can keep taking the next faithful step, trusting the God who walks with us.

“The Lord will provide.”

The storm doesn't last forever.

Genesis 8 begins with four simple but powerful words, “But God remembered Noah.”

After the rain came waiting. Then, little by little, the waters receded, the ground began to dry, and life started again.

Some seasons seem to last much longer than we would like. Genesis 8 reminds us that even in the waiting, God has not forgotten us. The waters recede. New growth appears. A new beginning comes.

Whatever season you find yourself in today, keep looking for signs of new life. 🌱

Beauty. Wisdom. Success. None of them make us immune to pride.

Ezekiel 28 paints a picture of someone who had been given so much, yet somewhere along the way, pride began to take over. What had been beautiful became corrupted from within.

It is an uncomfortable reminder that sometimes the things that pull us away from God do not begin with what we lack. They can begin with what we have.

May we hold our gifts, our successes, and even our strengths with humility, remembering where they came from in the first place.

The earth belongs to God. The world, and everyone in it.

Psalm 24 reminds us that God is not confined to one place or one moment of our week. He is already present in the world around us, and He invites us to recognize Him there.

“Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.”

What might change today if we opened the door a little wider and made room for God?

“Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, this is your true and proper worship.”
Romans 12:1

For the past two weeks, we’ve spent time walking through Romans 12 and discovering what a life changed by God can look like.

And maybe that’s the biggest lesson of the chapter.

Worship isn’t limited to Sunday morning.

It continues Monday morning in the way we work, speak, forgive, serve, encourage, give, love, and treat the people God places in our path.

Romans 12 doesn’t simply tell us what to believe. It challenges us to live it.

As we leave this chapter behind, let’s take its message with us.

Worship starts here.
