As people of faith, we speak often about the power and importance of prayer, but are rarely given practical and tangible direction for doing it. We know that we should pray, but do we know how to?

St. Paul writes to the Romans, “We do not know how to pray as we ought! But the Holy Spirit will come to the aid of our weakness and intercede for us...” (Romans 8:26)

Through this series, School of Prayer, we are invited to sit at the feet of our Teacher, the Lord Himself, and be taught how to pray – the very life and heart of our relationship with Him.

Join Holy Family each month as we explore a variety of ways to pray as presented to us through the wisdom of the Church, the language of Scripture, and the example of the saints. All are welcome, wherever you find yourself along the journey of faith!

✨ Welcome, Fr. Melwin Dsouza! ✨

Please join us in welcoming Fr. Melwin Dsouza to the Holy Family Parish community!

Originally from South India, Fr. Melwin is a Pallottine priest who has faithfully served the Church since his ordination in 2008. After several years of ministry in India, he came to the United States in 2019 and most recently served as pastor of two parishes in the Diocese of Toledo, Ohio.

Inspired by his favorite Scripture, "I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly." (John 10:10), Fr. Melwin is passionate about celebrating the sacraments, building community, accompanying families, and helping others grow closer to Christ.

When he is not serving in ministry, he enjoys traveling, reading, exploring new places, and spending time connecting with his family in India.

Fr. Melwin shares, "It is truly a blessing and a joy to become part of the Holy Family Parish community. I look forward to walking with you in faith, growing together in our love for Christ and His Church."

💡 Innovation, creativity, and hands-on learning were in full swing at Camp Invention! Our young inventors spent the week designing, building, exploring, and solving problems while having a blast with friends.

Thank you to all of our campers, volunteers, and leaders for making this week such a wonderful experience. We can't wait to see how these bright minds continue to create, discover, and grow!

Welcome Fr. Dan! ✝

Holy Family is enthusiastic to welcome Fr. Dan Bassile as parochial vicar.

A little about Fr. Dan...

Before joining the seminary for priestly formation, he worked as an Elevator Mechanic for 39 years. He has always been actively living out his faith for many years as a Catechist, Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, Sacristan, and Reader. By God’s mercy, grace, and blessing, he was ordained to the Permanent Diaconate on October 3, 2020.
While assisting at Mass as a Deacon, he felt a burning in his heart during the Consecration that he was in the wrong place, that Jesus was inviting him to be the one He uses to Consecrate the Blessed Sacrament. After a period of time, he sought out a Spiritual Director whose guidance had finally given him the courage to say “yes” to this calling from the Lord. After some years in formation at St. John XXIII seminary, Fr. Dan was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Noonan on May 23, 2026
